SLAT 2018, an entrance exam for five-year integrated law programmes including BA LLB and BBA LLB from Symbiosis Law Schools situated at Pune, Noida and Hyderabad. Earlier, Symbiosis International Deemed University (SIU) conducted a common written entrance exam – Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET) to offer admission to aspirants in undergraduate programmes.
However, from 2018 onwards, SIU would be conducting a separate entrance exam for law course admissions called Symbiosis Law Admission Test (SLAT). Programmes in which aspirants can secure admission in BA LLB and BBA LLB, basis on their SLAT score.
Candidates interested in pursuing five-year integrated law programmes including BA LLB and BBA LLB from Symbiosis Law Schools situated at Pune, Noida and Hyderabad need to register for SLAT 2018 before the last date i.e by April 14, 2018, to submit application form of SET Law 2018.
Candidates will also need to pay Rs. 1750, an application fee for Symbiosis Law Admission Test through any of the three modes–Billdesk Gateway, Indian Bank Gateway and Demand Draft. On the basis of SLAT 2018 score, candidates can secure admission in the below-mentioned colleges:

Eligibility Criteria SLAT (SET Law)
Candidates should meet the following criteria to be considered eligible for SLAT 2018, SET Law application form–
- Need to have qualified 10+2 examination from any recognized board.
- General Candidate need to have obtained minimum 45 per cent marks in aggregate of the subjects (40% marks for Scheduled Castes/ Scheduled Tribes Category)
- Apart from this, candidates who have given their Class XII final examination and are awaiting results for the same also meet SLAT 2018 eligibility criteria.
Note: The official website informs that “candidates who have studied Arts/Social Science subjects for their qualifying examination may apply for BA LLB (Hons) programme. Similarly, those candidates who have studied Commerce/Accounts/Mathematics/Sciences may apply for BBA LLB (Hons) programme”.
Candidates who belong to the below-mentioned categories also meet SLAT 2018 eligibility criteria under International Students Admissions category:
- Foreign National (FN)
- Person of Indian Origin (PIO)
- Non-Resident Indian (NRI)

Symbiosis Law Admission Test is scheduled to be conducted across 85 test cities in the country. Candidates can select any three test centres while registration.

- Generate a SET 2018 ID and Password after registering for SLAT 2018.
- Login to the official portal through the SET ID and fill SLAT 2018 application form.
- Fill the application form.
- Upload various requisite documents including photograph and signature.
- Pay the SET Law 2018 application fees in the preferred mode as informed above.

SLAT 2018 Exam Pattern
Symbiosis Law Admission Test, is the entrance exam will be held in a paper-based mode on May 5, 2018, between 9:30 am to 12 noon by Symbiosis International University for admissions to undergraduate law programmes at the three law schools.
The exam will be held for two hours and thirty minutes (150 minutes), where candidates will have to answer 150 questions carrying one mark each. Candidates may note that there will be no negative marking for any wrong answers.
The objective-type questions will be covering five sections namely, Logical Reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Analytical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension and General Knowledge.

SLAT 2018 Selection Procedure
Candidates who qualify SLAT written entrance exam then need to appear for the Personal Interaction (PI) and Writing Ability Test (WAT) admission round. This is the last and final step of the admission process for Symbiosis Law School. PI-WAT round is conducted at individual SLS campuses. The final merit list containing names of shortlisted candidates for admission in law programmes offered at SLS can be checked by candidates on the official website of SLAT 2018.
