After tanking at the Times World University Rankings, there is some good news for Indian premier higher education institutes. Three IITs and Delhi University have made it to the top 200 in the recently announced QS Graduate Employability Rankings-2020. The Indian Institute of Technology Bombay (IITB) leads India’s representation in the latest QS Graduate Employability Rankings 2020.
The American University Massachusetts Institute of Technology narrowly ranks ahead of Stanford University and the University of California which are second and third respectively.
Ranked in the 111-120 range, IIT Bombay (IITB) is among the top Indian Institute in the 2020 QS Graduate Employability Rankings with score 54-55.1/100. Other Indian institutes IIT Delhi, IIT Madras and the Delhi University are among the world’s top 200 institutions in producing highly employable graduates.
IIT Kharagpur, BITS Pilani, University of Mumbai, IISc Bangalore, IIT Kanpur and the University of Calcutta have also been ranked in 201-500 range in this edition of QS World Graduate Employability Rankings-2020.

Top 10 Indian Institutes in QS Graduate Employability Rankings-2020
IIT-Bombay, whose graduates topped among Indian institutes in the previous edition of the rankings, has improved its position from last year’s 141-150 to 111-120 bracket this year. IIT-Delhi is in the 151-160 rank bracket, the same as last year. IIT-Madras placed in the 171-180 bracket, a slight improvement from last year 181-190 bracket, is at number three among Indian institutes.

QS Ranking Methodology
QS World Graduate Employability Rankings-2020 is based on a multitude of factors, with five indicators used to compile these rankings- Employer Reputation (30%), Alumni Outcome (25%), Partnerships with Employers per Faculty (25%), Employer-Student connection (10%), and Graduate Employment Rate (10%).
Rankings were made by the data taken from over 13 million academic papers, as well as 70,000 academics and 40,000 employers’ responses. According to the official ranking portal, the Graduate Employability Rankings are designed to help students compare universities based on how employable its graduates are.
