Application Process Started for NMAT by GMAC 2018, Register Before October 03, 2018

The online application process for NMAT by GMAC 2018 commenced on July 03, 2018. NMAT by GMAC is one of the most-awaited management entrance, for admission to MBA program. Now it goes international with the facility to send your NMAT by GMAC 2018 score for MBA admission in 22 Indian MBA colleges and 12 MBA colleges in South Africa and Philippines. Registration for NMAT by GMAC 2018 exam is open till October 3.

The exam will be held in a 75-day window from October 04 to December 18, 2018, and the candidates are allowed to give 3 attempts. NMAT exam is a computer-based test which comprises of three sections. The exam is of 2 hours duration and consists of 120 questions which are unevenly distributed among the three sections.

The exam allows a candidate to choose the order in which he/she would like to respond to each of the sections on the test and self-schedule the test date, time and location based on the availability of seats at each test centre.

NMAT by GMAC exam registered 7 percent growth in its test registration in 2017. Total registrations closed at 88,454 in 2017 compared to 82,928 in 2016 and 70,950 in 2015.

NMAT by GMAC Exam Features 

This year, among the new features, the candidates were able to register for the exam at nmat.org.in. New features like multiple login methods, additional payment options, new international and regional test centers were introduced for convenience of a candidate to opt for the NMAT by GMAC exam and to achieve the career of their dreams.

The multiple logins allowed candidates to register through Google, Facebook etc. They were also given the facility of the auto-generated One Time Password (OTP) and even last year’s credentials for the purpose.

The improvement in registrations numbers highlights that NMAT by GMAC continues to be one of the popular and candidate friendly exams for MBA aspiring students, to pursue management education from top B-Schools in the country.

NMAT by GMAC 2018 Important Dates

Commencement of online registration: Tuesday, July 03, 2018

Last date to register online: Wednesday, October 3, 2017

Scheduling of exam: Tuesday, July 03 to Tuesday, October 16, 2018

Late registration for the exam: Wednesday, October 3 to Tuesday, October 16, 2017

Exam Delivery: Thursday, October 04 to Monday, December 17, 2018

Result Declaration: 3rd week of January 2019

NMAT by GMAC 2018 Application Fees

  • Test Registration (Early) — INR 2000 + applicable taxes
  • Test Registration (Late) —- INR 2500 + applicable taxes
  • Retake —- INR 2000 + applicable taxes
  • Reschedule —- INR 1000 + applicable taxes
  • Additional Score Reports (beyond first five) —- INR 200 per Score Report + applicable taxes

Students will have to pay Rs. 2000 plus applicable taxes to register for NMAT 2018. However, the candidates who will register after October 03 will be required to remit the late fee of Rs. 500, over the application fee amount plus applicable taxes. The application fee for the retake is Rs. 2000 plus taxes and reschedule the test is Rs. 1000 plus taxes.

Students who want their NMAT score to be sent to more than 5 management schools will have to pay an additional fee of Rs. 200 per score report.

All the fee transaction are to be done online, through Visa, Master Card, American Express, Debit Card, Net Banking, Diners Club and Mobile Wallets, International credit card, or UPI.

NMAT 2018 Test Centres

In India, in order to ensure increased access and ease of students, 20 new test centers have been launched and now the count of test cities has gone upto 58 in India.

This time, NMAT by GMAC have opened international centres in Nepal, Bhutan, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh to boost diversity in classrooms.

How to Apply for NMAT by GMAC 2018?

The application process for NMAT by GMAC 2018 will be entirely online. Interested and Eligible Candidates can register through the NMAT by GMAC official website.

To register, the candidates will have to submit first name, last name, email id, phone number. Apart from this, the candidates will also have to create a password. The password should be easy to remember and must contain at least one numeric and special character.

For the first time, NMAT has also provided Login through social media tools –Facebook, Google Plus, and OTP option. This has made the application procedure more convenient. Once the registration is done, the candidates will be able to login by entering the registered e-mail id and the created password. Following this, the application form will open.

The candidates can need to apply for the retake of the examination. This they can do from the dashboard in the login. To apply for the retake, the candidates will have to apply at least 15 before the date on re-exam.

The rescheduling of the test is to be done 72 hours prior to the examination.

Candidates who will submit the application form correctly will be issued admit card probably in the month of October 2018.

Number of Attempts

Aspirants can appear three times in a year’s testing period for NMAT by GMAC and can reschedule their exam by visiting the official website of the exam over 75 days testing period.
