BITS HD-2019 Admission for Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad Campus

Birla Institute of Technology & Science (BITS), Pilani announces admissions for its higher degree (HD) programmes in Engineering, Science, Technology, and Pharmacy i.e (M.E/M.Pharam./M.Phil) to its 3 campuses Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad. The Candidates would be admitted based on the BITS HD-2019 Admission Test score. Admission will also be provided based on GATE/GPAT score. The registration process for BITS HD Admission Test 2019 is already started from March 18, 2019.

The deadline for receiving online applications for BITS Pilani higher degree programmes (M.E/M.Pharm/M.Phil) at Pilani, K.K Birla Goa and Hyderabad campuses is April 30, 2019. From last year, BITS Pilani started additionally permits prospective candidates to apply for these courses with a valid GATE/GPAT score.

Eligibility Criteria for BITS HD-2019 Admission Test

Candidate must have secured a Minimum aggregate of 60% in the qualifying degree examination for M.E/M. Pharm and 55% for M.Phil Admission. Click here for complete Eligibility Criteria for BITS HD 2019 Test.

While applying for the BITS-Pilani HD Programmes, if a candidate wishes to consider his GATE/GPAT score for admission; then they have to enter GATE score (year of GATE examination, GATE All India Rank and GATE Score) or GPAT Score details in the application form.

BITS HD-2019 Admission Test Application Fee

• Applicants who wish to be considered for admission through GATE/GPAT score: Rs 1000/-
• All others: Rs 3150/- (including the fee for BITS HD online test)

BITS-Pilani HD Admission 2019 Selection Procedure

For BITS-Pilani Higher Degree-2019 Admission through BITS HD-2019 test, a Candidate have to appear in the Online tests conducted by BITS at designated centers in different cities. The final Admission would be made on the basis of the performance in the online test or GATE/GPAT Score.

Admission to all M.E. (except Software Systems) and M.Pharam programmes will be made on the basis of marks obtained in the BITS HD-2019 admission test or based on the GATE/GPAT score. Admission to M.E Software Systems will be done only through the score obtained in BITS HD Entrance test.

Candidates shortlisted for the M.Phil programme will be announced on 3rd June. The test and interview for these candidates will be on 19th July and admission offers will be made on 20th July.

BITS HD-2019 Admission Test

The BITS HD-2019 Admission Test will be a computer based online test conducted by BITS Pilani at dedicated centers in 19 different cities of India. The online tests will be conducted on 15th to 26th May 2019 and the candidates can choose the center to take the test.

Details of the Online Test:

Test I: Duration: 45 Minutes. Total No of questions: 30 (15 questions each from Core Mathematics and English Language Skills & Logical Reasoning)

Test II: Duration: 105 Minutes. Total number of questions: 70 (Subject related questions)

For the above tests, all questions are of objective type (multiple choice questions); each question with four answer choices, only one is the correct choice. For each correct answer, 3 marks will be awarded, while each incorrect answer has a penalty (negative marking) of 1 mark. All the questions and instructions of the test will be in English language only.
