CAT 2019 Preparation Strategy for Working Professionals
Though it might be a little hectic for the working professionals having 9 to 5 Jobs, with a proper preparation strategy, one can crack CAT without resigning the Job.
Divide your time in the following way:
- Give at least 2 hours every day (every working day), though it would be better if it is 3 to 4 hours.
- Study for at least 6 hours on Saturday and Sunday. It would be great if the studying hours are increased to 8-10 hours on weekends.
It would be wiser to divide the whole syllabus of CAT and follow a time table. Working professionals must try to have a weekly time table rather than the monthly one.
CAT Syllabus can be broadly divided into 5 areas namely –
1. Quantitative Aptitude
2. Data Interpretation
3. Logical Reasoning
4. Reading Comprehension
5. Verbal Ability
The weightage of the above first category is 2, while others are in ratio 1. Here is the rough weekly plan that you can follow:
– Monday & Tuesday – Quantitative Aptitude
– Wednesday – Data Interpretation
– Thursday – Logical Reasoning
– Friday – Reading Comprehension
– Saturday (First Half) – Verbal Ability
– Saturday (Second Half) – Mock Tests
– Sunday (First Half) – Weak topics
– Sunday (Second Half) – Revision
Note: The First Half of Sunday can be allocated to the weaker areas which need more attention and work added to the daily time allotment.
