COVID-19: ICAI Allows CA Foundation Course Registration Provisionally for Class 12 Students

Good News for the Class 12 students, as per the latest ICAI notification students who have appeared for their class 12 board exam can go for Chartered Accontant CA Foundation course registration provisionally. The CA Foundation course registration is now open.

Due to the Coronavirus Outbreak and ongoing Pan-India lockdown, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has relaxed the criteria , as a one-time measure for CA Foundation Course registration. The decision has been made after the CBSE/ ICSE/ State Boards announced the postponement of the class 12 examinations that were scheduled to be held from March 19, 2020.

The ICAI has announced through an official notification that candidates who have been allotted their class 12 admit card or have appeared in one or more papers of Senior Secondary (10+2) exam conducted in February/March 2020 will be allowed to provisionally register for CA Foundation till June 30, 2020. The criteria have been relaxed so that candidates who have not registered due to the postponement of Senior secondary exams can also apply.

Due to the COVID-19 Outbreak, ICAI has decided to allow the Class 12 students to register for CA Foundation course provisionally without their results being declared. The registration would be provisional and in case the student couldn’t pass his exam for some reason the registration will stand cancelled.

Such candidates can appear for CA Foundation November 2020 examination after passing their Senior Secondary (10+2) examination conducted by an examining body as mentioned above.

Steps for CA Foundation Course Registration

Step 1: Visit the official website i.e. icai.org https://www.icai.org and register online https://eservices.icai.org/

Step 2: On the homepage, click on the link which says CA Foundation Course Application Link  or using this direct link.

Step 3: An new page will appear on the screen

Step 4: Enter the requisite details to generate a registration ID and password

Step 5: Fill up the application form and upload your PP size pic and signature

Step 6: Submit the form and keep a copy for future reference.

Recently the CA Exams have been postponed. The exams which were supposed to be held in May 2020 this year have been pushed to June July now due to the pandemic situation in the country. To know more about the exam and its eligibility the students can visit the official website of ICAI, icai.org.
