Routes To Enter The CA Course
In the present scheme of education and training, there are two routes to enter the Chartered Accountancy course-Common Proficiency Test (CPT) route and Direct Entry route.
If a student wishes to join the CA course earlier in life, he can register for Common Proficiency Course after passing class tenth examinations. However, he can sit for CPT after appearing for 10+2 examinations.
Having passed CPT, the student gets admitted to the Chartered Accountancy Course which comprises of theoretical education and practical training of three years.
Graduates/post graduates with specified marks and intermediate passed students of the Institute of Company Secretary of India and Institute of Cost Accountants of India can directly enter the CA course, the student is also imparted other technical and soft skills related to Information Technology, General Management and Communication Skills.
