The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati has released the GATE 2018 results today on March 16, 2018, for all the 23 papers at gate.iitg.ac.in. The results of Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2018 is available in online only.
The GATE 2018 results have been announced only for candidates who have appeared in the examination. Candidates can get the result by entering their “Enrollment Id”, “Registration No.” & “Date of Birth” after login through GOAPS (GATE Online Application Process System).
Qualified candidates, however, can download their GATE 2018 scorecard from March 20 to May 31, 2018, and Keep the printout copy of the result till the admission procedure over. After that, the scorecard will be available for download for a fee of Rs. 500 until December 31, 2018.
The GATE 2018 exams were held in February and the final answer keys were released by GATE 2018 conducting authorities on March 14, 2018.
Qualified candidate here means those candidates who have secured marks equal to or above the qualifying marks as per their category. The scores secured by the candidates is available in the GATE result 2018.
The GATE marks of the candidates will be calculated out of 100 and will be normalized as per the guidelines are given by the GATE authorities to arrive at the GATE score which is out of 1000. GATE result 2018 will be valid only for 3 years from the day of its announcement. The published GATE 2018 result and scorecard can be used for Post Graduate degree (MTech) admissions as well as the recruitment process of PSUs like ONGC, BHEL, GAIL, SAIL.

How to Check GATE 2018 Results
Candidates can follow the given steps to check and download their GATE 2018 results.
- Click the official website of GATE or click at appsgate.iitg.ac.in
- Click on the ‘GATE 2018 Result’ tab
- Details of the candidates like his/her GATE 2018 Registration ID, Enrolment No and date of birth will have to be entered in the provided space/fields.
- Click on “Submit” button.
- The result will be displayed on-screen.
- GATE 2018 result will show whether the candidate is qualified or not.
- If the candidates have qualified, then only will he/she be able to download the scorecard.
