The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) notified the CA Exams schedule for the students who had opted-out from November 2020 Examinations and opted for November 2020 Cycle-II i.e January/ February 2021. The Chartered Accountant Exams are scheduled to begin from January 21, 2021, continue till February 7, 2021.
The ICAI announced in the latest official notification, “In reference to the announcement dated 19th November 2020, it is notified for general information that next Chartered Accountant Examinations for the students who had opted-out from November 2020 Examinations and opted for November 2020 Cycle–II is scheduled from 21st January 2021 to 7th February 2021”.
The CA Foundation Course examination under the new schedule will be held on 21st, 23rd, 25th & 28th January 2021.
The Intermediate (IPC) Course Examinations under the old syllabus will be held on 22nd, 24th, 27th & 29th January 2021 (Group -I) and 1st, 3rd, and 5th February 2021 (Group II)
The Intermediate (IPC) Course Examination under the new syllabus will be held on January 22nd, 24th, 27th & 29th for Group -I and Group – II exams will be held on 1st, 3rd, 5th, and 7th February 2021.
The Final Course Examination under the old syllabus will be held on 21st, 23rd, 25th & 28th January 2021 for Group -I while for Group -II examinations will be held on 30th January 2021, 2nd, 4th, and 6th February 2021.
The CA Final exam (New Course) will be held on 21st, 23rd, 25th & 28th January 2021 for the group -I and the group-II examinations will be held on 30th January 2021, 2nd, 4th, and 6th February 2021.
The ICAI clarified that “It may be emphasized that there would be no change in the CA Exams schedule in the event of any day of the examination schedule being declared a Public Holiday by the Central Government or any State Government / Local Holiday”.
CA Exams Timings
The ICAI announced that two of the papers viz. Paper(s) 3 & 4 of Foundation Examination are of 2 hours duration. Similarly, Elective Paper – 6 of Final Examination (under New Scheme) is of 4 hours. However, all other examinations are of 3 hours duration.
In Paper 3 and 4 of the Foundation Examination there will not be any advance reading time, whereas, in all other papers/exams mentioned above, an advance reading time of 15 minutes will be given from 1.45 PM (IST) to 2 PM (IST), it added.
