Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE), a national level examination, jointly conducted by the Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IIT – Bombay, Delhi, Guwahati, Kanpur, Kharagpur, Madras and Roorkee) on the rotational basis.

Production And Engineering GATE 2019 Exam Pattern

The Production and Industrial Engineering GATE 2019 Paper is divided into three sections namely, General Aptitude (GA), Engineering Mathematics (MA) and Production and Industrial (PI) section.

There are total  65 questions consisting of 100 marks in total including MULTIPLE CHOICE QUESTIONS (MCQ) and NUMERIC TYPE QUESTIONS :

1. Go through Syllabus

Its important to have a clearance on topics which are frequently asked in GATE PI test. So that rather than wasting time on not so important topic, aspirants can invest it in essential ones.

2. Keep Yourself Updated

Keeping yourself updated with the changes in GATE 2019 test is really important. You should know which topics are included or excluded from a peculiar section and also being updated with the dates of registration, admit card etc.  is important

3. Select your Books wisely

Refer a particular only if you find it helpful and not because everyone is referring to that book. You must select books which have several questions on individual topics. Try to avoid books with jorgan which means that it should be using words and language which is easy to grasp.

4. Must Subscribe to Online Test Series 

Try to solve test series online to get a variety of questions and it also helps you to review your preparation on the particular section.

5. Mock Test and Previous Year Question papers

To get a clear picture of actual GATE 2019 PI test, solve previous year question papers and set a mark of scores of each test u take. And try to reach that mark of scores each time. Make sure there is some improvement in scores each time u take the test. The more you take the test, the more you will know about important questions and its types.

6. General Aptitude needs Practice

Aspirants must make day plan, like how much hours should one subject be given. For instance, it is recommended to atleast give 1 hour daily yo general aptitude and mathematics. And atleast 2 hours daily to the subjects of Production and Industrial Engineering.
