The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the official notification for the online application for the Combined Defence Services CDS (I) on October 31, 2018. The UPSC CDS (I) 2019 exam will be held on February 03, 2019, to fill the total vacancies of 417 post of Commissioned Officers. Aspirants can check UPSC CDS (I) 2019 eligibility, application process, exam pattern, selection process, number of vacancies and other details.
The notification is available for aspirants at the official site of UPSC. The eligible and interested aspirants can submit an online application for UPSC CDS (I) 2019 by November 26, 2018, till 6:00 pm on the official website. The said examination is for the courses commencing in January 2020 and April 2020.
The examination is conducted for candidates aspiring to get admitted into the Indian Military Academy Dehradun (100 vacancies), Indian Naval Academy Ezhimala (45 vacancies), Air Force Academy Hyderabad (Pre-Flying, 32 vacancies), Officers’ Training Academy Chennai for Men (225 vacancies), OTA Chennai —23rd SSC Women (Non-Technical) Course (15 vacancies).
Candidates who want to join the Indian Navy, Indian Army and Officers Training Academy as a Commissioned Officer are required to clear the UPSC CDS (I) Exam. Aspirants can visit the official site of UPSC for more details and apply before November 26, 2018. The written examination of UPSC CDS (I) Exam will be conducted on February 03, 2019 across the nation. The results may be out in April 2019.

Education Qualification
To apply for the same, candidates will have to be a graduate from any recognised university for Army. B.Tech degrees are also welcome for Navy Officers. To get into Air Force, candidates should have a graduate degree from any recognised university along with Physics and Mathematics in 10+2. Engineering Degree is also applicable.

Withdrawal Of UPSC Online Application Before The Exam
UPSC has introduced the facility of withdrawal of Application for those candidates who do not want to appear for the Examination.’ After implementing it in the Indian Engineering Services Exam (ESE) 2019, UPSC has decided to allow candidates the facility of withdrawing their online applications from December 3, 2018, to December 10, 2018, till 06:00 pm.

Steps to apply for UPSC CDS (I) 2019
Step 1: Visit the UPSC official website to apply., upsconline.gov.in
Step 2: Click on the link UPSC CDS (I) 2019 or direct link Apply here for UPSC CDS (I) 2019.
Step 3: In part I registration, applicants have to submit basic information.
Step 4: In part II, fill the payment details and choice of exam centre, upload your photo and sign
Step 5: Save it and take a print out for further reference
Application Fee:
The candidates have to pay an application fee of Rs 200.
Note: The reserved category (Female/SC/ST) candidates are exempted from any application fee.
The application fee can be paid either by depositing the money in any Branch of SBI by cash, or by using net banking facility of SBI, or by using Visa/Master Credit/Debit Card.
UPSC CDS Exam 2019 Selection Process
The selection procedure comprises of three stages– written examination, interview and personality test and medical fitness test. The written examination has two patterns- for Indian Military Academy, Air Force Academy and Indian Naval Academy, the subjects included in the examination are English, Mathematics and GK and for Officers’ Training Academy, the written exam pattern comprise of English and GK. The written examination will be through offline mode.
