UPSC CSE Mains 2019 Schedule: The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the examination schedule for the Civil Services Exam (CSE) Mains 2019 at its official website, upsc.gov.in. Those candidates who have cleared the UPSC CSE Preliminary Exam 2019, conducted on June 02, 2019, are eligible to appear for the Mains exam to begin from September 20.
The UPSC Civil Services Mains 2019 exam will be conducted from September 20 to September 29, 2019. Candidates who qualify the CSE Main examinations will be called to appear for the interview round which will have 275 marks with no minimum marks for qualifying the round.
The written examination in the Mains will have 9 papers of conventional essay type, out of which 2 papers will be of qualifying in nature. The UPSC Civil Services Mains exams will be conducted in two sessions – forenoon session from 09:00 am to 12:00 noon and afternoon session from 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm.
On day 1, i.e September 20, there will be no examination in the afternoon shift and only Paper-I essay will be conducted in forenoon session. General studies I to IV (paper II to V) will be conducted in the morning and afternoon shift, one in each session on the weekend i.e September 21 (Saturday) and September 22 (Sunday).
On September 28, the examination for Indian languages will be held in the morning shift and English exam in the afternoon session. The examination for optional papers will be conducted on September 29 in both the sessions.

UPSC CSE interview or Personality Test will be conducted in February 2020. The UPSC will release the admit card a few days before the exam. The candidates should follow the syllabus to prepare for the exam.
