BSNL JTO Recruitment Through GATE 2017

Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has released the notification of the recruitment process for 2510 Graduate Engineers on the post of Junior Telecom Officer (JTO) through valid GATE 2017 score. The online application process for BSNL JTO Recruitment will begin from March 6, 2017 and end on April 6, 2017. The recruitment process will be held for almost 2510 vacancies. Candidates who wish to apply for BSNL JTO post must have appeared in the GATE 2017 exam conducted by IIT Roorkee in Feb 2017.

BSNL will be recruiting Junior Telecom Officers (JTO) in the disciplines of Electronics, Telecom, Electrical, Radio, Computer Science, Information Technology, and Instrumentation Engineering on the basis of valid GATE 2017 scores. Candidates having M.Sc. Degree in Electronics/Computer Science are also eligible for the post.

The BSNL will be hiring 2,510 graduate engineers for the post of JTOs making it the largest recruitment through GATE 2017. This recruitment is solely based on the GATE scores of the candidates. There will be no interview for this recruitment.

 Selection Procedure for the BSNL JTO Recruitment

• Selection of candidates will be against the vacancies of a particular Circle as per the preference of the candidate. The candidate will have to serve in the particular circle until they are promoted to the All India Cadre. However, BSNL has the right to post any selected JTO(T)( Junior Telecom Officer Telecom) to any of the Circles either temporarily or on permanent basis.
• While filling the application form, Candidates will be required to choose one circle and will be considered for the same.
• A circle wise merit list based on the GATE 2017 scores of the applicants and the vacancies available under the circle will be prepared.
• Candidates who are shortlisted will be required to get their documents verified and will be issued call letters thereafter.

Documents required for verification

• Date of Birth: The date of birth entered in matriculation or Secondary School Leaving Certificate or in a Certificate recognized by an Indian University as equivalent to Matriculation or in an extract from a Register of Matriculates maintained by a University, which must be certified by the proper authority of the University or in the Higher Secondary or an equivalent examination certificate. No other certificate will be accepted.
• GATE 2017 Admit and Score Card
• Marks sheet and Certificates of Class X, Class XII, Graduation and post-graduation
• Category Certificate

Salary Details for BSNL JTO

• Selected candidates will be appointed with an IDA Pay Scale of Executive (E-1)  Rs 16400-40500 with annual increment @ 3% of basic pay plus IDA, HRA, Perks, Medical Benefits, etc . The confirmation will be of Grade B in the executive level as per the norms of BSNL.
• Selected candidates will be required to execute a Bond in the format as specified by the Company to serve in BSNL for a period of 2 years from the date of their appointment as JTO(T) (Junior Telecom Officer for Telecom department) or a period as specified by BSNL for the post from time to time.
