Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering, GATE 2018 admit card for the candidates enrolled successfully would be available from January 5, 2018. The notification on the official website gate.iitg.ac.in/had confirmed that “GATE 2018 Admit Card will be available in the Online Application Portal (for printing) – Friday – 05th January 2018”. Candidates who have applied successfully for the examination are required to download the admit card from the official website.
GATE 2018 is scheduled to be conducted on 3rd, 4th, 10th and 11th February 2018, in two sessions viz forenoon from 9:00 am to 12:00 noon and afternoon from 2:00 pm to 5:00 pm across the country.
The GATE 2018 Admit Card will carry important instructions for the candidates along with important information like Registration Id, Roll Number, Date of Examination, Venue, Time/Session and Subject details.
On Friday, 5th January, Candidates who have successfully enrolled for GATE 2018 must keep a tab on the official website to download their admit cards as and when they are released.

Apart from admission to post graduate courses in engineering, GATE scores are also used by various Public Sector Undertakings, PSUs for their recruitment at junior engineer positions. Here is a look at the PSUs that would be hiring on the basis of the GATE score and their online application schedule.
All the candidates interested in applying for the PSUs would be required to provide their GATE 2018 registration id or roll number which would be available on the GATE 2018 admit card. Also, the participating PSUs will shortly begin the online application process for the recruitment would be available on the PSUs’ official website along with the detailed notification.

- Bharat Heavy Electricals Limited (BHEL) – online applications begin from January 9, 2018
- Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) – online applications begin from January 5, 2018
- Power Grid Corporation of India Limited (PGCIL) – online applications begin from January 5, 2018
- National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC) – online applications begin from January 10, 2018
- Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) – online application process to be made available in March or April 2018

How to Download GATE 2018 Admit Card?
The GATE 20188 Admit card will not be sent by email or post to the candidate. The step-wise process to download the admit card of GATE 2018 is given below:
- Click on the admit card download link (http://www.gate.iitg.ac.in/)
- Log-in using following details – GATE enrollment ID or registered email ID and password.
- On successful log-in, the GATE 2018 Admit card will be displayed on the screen.
- Check that all the details mentioned on it are legible and correct.
- Download the admit card and take a printout.
GATE is a competition Exam, require continuous passion, higher concentration, determination and hard work to succeed. A candidate who will qualify GATE 2018 would not only open the gateway for higher education courses Masters and Doctoral level (M.E., M.Tech, direct Ph.D.) in IISc/IITs/NITs but also can have the opportunity to get placed in PSUs (Public Sector Undertakings).
