SLAT 2020 – Symbiosis International University (SIU) has announced to conduct SLAT 2020 exam on May 31, in online proctored test mode which means that the candidates can appear from the safe environment of their home for the exam.
Further, this year the SLAT exam pattern has also changed by reducing the number of questions from 150 to 90. The last date to submit the online application form has also been extended to May 20. Now, SLAT admission aspirants can submit the SLAT 2020 application form through the online registration portal for admissions to Symbiosis UG law programmes.
The law entrance exam, SET Law or SLAT consist of multiple-choice questions from topics like legal aptitude, GK, current affairs, reasoning etc. The test will be monitored using a combination of artificial intelligence and human intelligence.

After the declaration of SLAT result, successful candidates will have to appear for counselling and seat allotment process. All participating colleges of Symbiosis International University – SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad and newly added SLS Nagpur and other affiliated institutes will release a date sheet for admission counselling and seat allotment process separately.
SLAT Eligibility Criteria
- Educational Qualification – Candidate should have passed intermediate from a recognized board, with at least 45% (40% for SC/ST categories candidate)
- Students appearing the board exams are also eligible for SLAT 2020. Such candidates have to produce their clearing the qualifying exam documents at the time of document verification process.
- Age Limit – There is no upper or lower age limit to appear for SLAT 2020 exam.
SLAT Application form 2020
SIU has released SLAT 2020 application form on its official website. Candidates will have to register themselves on the SLAT 2020 admission portal. After registration, candidates can fill the application form as requisite in the form. Applicants will have to pay the application fees of Rs 1750/- in online mode(for all categories students) before final submission of the SLAT 2020 application form.

SLAT 2020 Participating Colleges and Seat Distribution
There are 4 law schools – SLS Pune, SLS Noida, SLS Hyderabad and SLS Nagpur that will participate in SLAT 2020 admission process. These colleges will offer admissions for around 900 seats in 5-year integrated BA LLB and BBA LLB programmes.

SLAT 2020 Exam Pattern
SIU has changed the exam pattern of SLAT 2020 in various aspects.
- First, the exam will now be conducted in online proctored test mode and candidates can sit in the exam directly from their home.
- The number of questions has also been reduced from 150 to 90.
- Earlier, the SLAT test duration was of 2.5 hours which has also been reduced to just 2 hours.
- The marking scheme remains unchanged and so is the syllabus of SLAT 2020. The details of the updated SLAT exam pattern are mentioned below.

SLAT Admission Process
The participating institutes of SLAT 2020 will conduct the counselling and seat allotment process in their respective colleges. On the basis of PI and WAT rounds and other factors, the participating law schools will announce SLAT merit list separately for their colleges.
