The Indian Institute of Management Calcutta, IIMC has released the CAT 2018 answer keys. All the candidates who appeared for Common Admission Test 2018 on Sunday, November 25, 2018, can check the answer keys on the CAT 2018 official website.
This year, Over two lakh candidates had appeared for the CAT 2018 examination which was held at 370+ test centres across India in two shifts – morning (Shift -1) and Afternoon (Shift -2). Those who clear the MBA Entrance exam will be eligible for admission to various management courses – PGP, PGDM, PGPEM, EPGP, PGPBM, PGPEX at the IIMs and other management colleges across the country.
CAT 2018 Answer Keys: Here’s how to check and Download
Only those candidates who have registered for the CAT 2018 exam will be able to download the CAT 2018 Answer Key from the official website.
- Access the official website of CAT 2018.
- On the homepage, Click on “CAT 2018 Question Paper and Objection Form” option.
- On the homepage, click on ‘Registered Candidate Login’.
- Enter your CAT 2018 id and password in the space provided.
- On submitting the same, the answer keys will be displayed on the screen.
- Students are advised to Download and take print out of it for future use.
- If you have any objections against the released answer key, You can submit them on the portal.

CAT 2018 Objection Filing
There are few key-points that candidates must remember while filing objections against CAT 2018 answer keys:
- Candidate can file as many objections as they want until December 10, 05:00 PM.
- A candidate has to pay Rs 1000 per question to raise the objections.
- Objections will be validated by IIM Expert panel. If the objection raised against CAT 2018 answer keys is found to be valid, the fee will be refunded.
- If any objection is found to be valid then remedial action will be taken for all the candidates (test takers) and not only for the candidate who files the objection
CAT 2018: Details of Institutes
CAT is the entrance examination for admission into the 20 Indian Institutes of Management (IIMs) and other Business schools for their different management programmes. There are about 3800 seats across the IIMs around the country. Every year, more than 2,00,000 students apply for the CAT examination.
CAT 2018 Results and Shortlisting
CAT 2018 results will be tentatively available in the second week of January 2019 on the CAT 2018 official website. The criteria for shortlisting the candidates vary across IIMs. For more details, visit the admission websites of respective IIMs.
The list of candidates shortlisted for the next level of admission procedure will be made available on the respective IIMs website. Each IIM will send interview letters to their shortlisted candidates directly.
IIM Admission Process
CAT 2018 score is an important component in the IIM admission process. The next process for IIM Admission may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). IIMs may consider other factors like the academic performance, relevant work experience, gender and academic diversity and other similar inputs in short listing and ranking of the candidates at various stages of the admission process.
