KIIT School of Law Announces KIITEE Law 2017

Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology University has announced KIITEE Law 2017 ,the gateway to admissions into BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Sc LLB programmes in Kalinga Law School. The university level law entrance examination will be conducted online in a four-day window between April 16 and April 19, 2017 . Candidates interested in pursuing five-year integrated law programmes from KIIT School of Law can check the examination details including eligibility criteria, important dates and application form of KIITEE Law 2017.

There are total 240 number of seats offered80 each in the three programmes–BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Sc LLB for 2017 admission. The School of Law is one of the first law schools in India, offers three conjoined honours degree courses (BA LLB, BBA LLB and B.Sc LLB). It is the only Law School in India having specialised Honours Courses viz. Constitutional Law, Business Law, International Law, Crime and Criminology, Intellectual Property Law and Taxation Law.



Admission Process

Admissions to five-year integrated law programmes in Kalinga Law School will be offered through KIITEE Law 2017. The KIITEE (Kalinga Institute of Industrial Technology Entrance Exam) Law applicants need to fill the application form and then appear for Kalinga Law School Admission Test after which results will be announced. The KIITEE Law admission process ends with counselling as per the marks secured by candidates.

Eligibility Criteria

Candidates applying for undergraduate Five Year Integrated law programmes in the university, need to meet KIITEE Law 2017 eligibility criteria. As per the KIITEE Law eligibility,

  • Aspirants need to have passed 12th board examination from any stream securing at least 45% marks in the aggregate of the subjects.
  • For B.Sc. LL.B candidates should have passed 10+2 or equivalent in the science stream with at least 45% marks. 
  • Besides the above education qualification, the candidates should not completed 21 years of age as on 01.07.2016.

Application Form and Fees

KIIT University has announced application form of KIITEE Law 2017 on December 2, 2016. Candidates can fill KIITEE Law 2017 application form in either of the online or offline modes.

  •  Candidates filling the KIITEE Law application offline, need to download the form and then fill it in own handwriting.
  • If filling online, candidates are required to print a copy of the KIITEE Law 2017 application form and send it to institute along with two passport-sized photographs and photocopy of 10th passing certificate.
  • Candidates must note that there is no application fee for KIITEE Law 2017. Candidates are also required to save a copy of the filled application form for future references.

Admit Card

KIIT University will issue admit card of KIITEE Law 2017 online between April 1 and April 5, 2017. Candidates who are not able to download KIITEE Law 2017 admit card by April 6 should contact KIIT University officials between April 7 and April 10, 2017, providing details of the post office, date of dispatch, and photocopy of the application form along with the other relevant documents. No hard copies of KIITEE Law admit card will be dispatched to any of the applicants. Candidates are required to save a copy of the downloaded admit card of KIITEE Law 2017 for future correspondences as it mentions roll number for the law entrance test.

KIITEE Law 2017 Pattern 

KIIT University will be conducting KIITEE Law 2017 entrance examination in a four-day window. The exam will be held online between April 16 and April 19, 2017. Applicants will have to answer as many as 120 questions from four sections– Mathematical Ability, Analytical & Logical Ability, Verbal Ability and General Knowledge. Each correct answer will be awarded four marks and for every incorrect response one mark will be deducted from the total scored marks.

KIITEE Law 2017 Result 

KIIT University will be declaring result of KIITEE Law 2017 on May 5. The university will be declaring scores of the candidates as KIITEE Law 2017 result will mentions qualifying status of the test takers. In case of tie of marks, candidates with higher marks in Mathematical Ability, then in Analytical Ability and then in English and at last by the age (older candidates) will be given preference over others.

Candidates can find their names in KIITEE Law 2017 merit list which also roll number, marks and category rank, besides the section-wise marks.

KIITEE Law 2017 cut off will be the set benchmark for admissions to undergraduate law programmes, which means candidates scoring more than the KIITEE Law cut-off marks will be invited for attending counselling and admission process.

Counselling and Seat Allotment

The University will be holding counselling of KIITEE Law 2017 from May 25. KIITEE Law 2017 counselling will be organised online as well as offline mode. Candidates will have to register for the counselling process in online mode and be present at the university campus on the scheduled date. KIITEE Law counselling process also involves seat allotment and document verification, after which candidates will be required to complete the admission formalities including payment of fees.
