Final Placement for IIM Rohtak Class of 2018 achieves 100% recruitment with the highest package offer of Rs 30 lakh, an increase of 16% over the last year. In contrast to the rise in highest salary, IIM Rohtak has witnessed a decline in average salary pegged to Rs 11.7 lakh in 2018 placement from Rs. 12.3 lakh last year package.
With the release of their final placement report, IIM Rohtak claims to have become the first IIM among the 14 second- and third-generation IIMs to achieve full placement for its current batch.
The number of companies visiting the campus this year went up by 75% from 57 last year. The placements also saw 40 plus new companies for the campus placement including international recruiters like the Tolaram Group from Dubai. This year IIM Rohtak witnessed a steep increase in the number of PPIs (pre-placement interviews) and PPOs (pre-placement offers) offered to the students. The 90 plus recruiters made 139 offers to the IIM Rohtak students.
The top 10% managed to get a salary of Rs 21.2 lakh followed by top 25% drawing Rs 17.4 lakh and top 50% getting Rs 14.6 lakh.
Prof Dheeraj Sharma, Director IIM Rohtak said, “100% placement in the current economy demonstrates that IIM Rohtak students are amongst the best and most sought after in India. We will continue to work closely with industry to offer future business leaders to the country”.

In sector-wise placement, Marketing topped with 29% of all the offers being made in this domain. Prominent companies included Yes Bank, Dabur, Amazon, BPCL, Maruti Suzuki, Tata Steel, JK Group, IndiaMart, Cushman and Wakefield. Some of the big shots that visited the campus for the first time were Amul, Aditya Birla Group, Cargill Foods, Mafatlal, Dell, and ACG WorldWide. A 5-fold increase was noted in the number of FMCG companies.visiting the campus.
Finance comes next with 26% offers to the batch in this domain. Prominent recruiters among the banks such as ICICI, RBL, Yes Bank, HDFC, SBI, Standard Chartered, IDFC, Federal Bank and Kotak Mahindra Bank recruited for the various roles.
Non-banking financial firms included Arcesium, Indus Valley Partners, Futures First, Thomson Reuters, DE Shaw, TresVista, Future Generali recruited IIM Rohtak students for niche roles.
In investment banking, Motilal Oswal was the prominent recruiter, came up with its coveted MT Spark Program.
Other major sectors included General Management (21%), Analytics (12%), Strategy and Consulting (7%) and Operations (5%). This season also saw the return of the Big Four with KPMG and EY offering attractive profiles to IIM Rohtak graduates.
Google, Amazon, GMR, L&T and Cognizant were among the other prominent recruiters to turn up at the campus. This is the 7th PGP batch at IIM Rohtak that successfully availed opportunities across diversified profiles and various domains in the organizational setup.This demonstrates that IIM Rohtak is well positioned to be number one management institute in north India and is amongst the top ten management institutes in the country.
