BITSAT 2017 referred as ‘BITS Admission Test -2017’, an entrance test conducted by BITS (Birla Institute of Technology & Science) Pilani for admission in their Integrated First degree programmes. Aspirants participate in the university level undergraduate engineering entrance examination for admissions to undergraduate engineering programmes at the institutes’s three campuses in Pilani, Goa and Hyderabad.

Exam Feature
- The exam will be online and computer based, as the answers are to be marked in the computer itself.
- The result for BITSAT 2017 will be displayed on the screen of candidates; in the form of their individual score in the test.
- Applicants will have to book test slot online as per their convenience and the dates released by the institute.
- Slots for BITSAT 2017 Exam will be allotted on first come and first served basis.
BITSAT 2017 Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants should have passed class 12 or equivalent exam (from any state or central board of school education) with 75% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics/Biology. They also need to have secured 60% marks separately in each of the three subjects. Proficiency in English is another requirement for appearing in BITSAT 2017.
- Only those candidates, who are appearing in class 12th in the year 2017 or have cleared 12th in 2016, are eligible for BITSAT 2017.
- Admissions to candidates will be purely based on the merit list, which will be prepared as per their scores in BITSAT 2017.
Direct Admission
Candidates, who are board toppers in central or any state board, will be offered direct admission to Integrated First Degree Programmes of Engineering and BE (Honours) at the 3 campuses in their preferred branches and institute irrespective of their scores/rank in BITSAT 2017. However, they have to meet the aforementioned BITSAT 2017 eligibility criteria.

BITSAT 2017 Exam Pattern
- Mode of Exam: The exam will be conducted through online mode (computer based mode).
- Sections: The question paper will consist of four sections.
- Duration: The exam duration will be three hours.
- No of Questions: The question paper will comprises of 150 objective type questions.
- Marking Scheme: For each correct response three marks will be awarded.
- Negative Marking: One mark will be deducted for each incorrect response.
- Negative marking will not be considered for no response.
- After you have completed these 150 questions, you can attempt extra 12 questions which have been included in the exam for extra meritorious students only.
- If you enter this extra section, you will NOT be able to access the normal exam paper again. Hence, you should go to this section only after you have completed the exam paper.
- Exam of BITSAT 2017 will be framed in the English Language.

BITSAT 2017 Final Score:
- The final score of every candidate will be displayed on his/her individual screen after the completion of the paper.
- As soon as you press the button for test submission; you will be shown the final score you have obtained in the exam.
- BITSAT 2017 Score report will show you the number of CORRECT answers you have attempted, WRONG answers marked by you and the total score obtained in exam.
- Hence you don’t have to wait for result declaration to see your score in exam.
BITSAT 2017 Application Form Details:
- The forms for BITSAT 2017 will be filled ONLINE only. All the candidates will have to logon to the official form filling portal and complete the form submission.
- Be careful to submit correct and complete details in the online form as once the form is submitted, you won’t be allowed to make any changes in it.
- The fee can be submitted online as well as offline. Online fee can be submitted by Net Banking, Credit or Debit Card and the Offline Fee can be submitted by the e – Bank Challan which can be generated online during registration process of BITSAT 2017 and submitted at the banks.
- Only after the fee remission has been confirmed at the bank’s end the form submission will be considered complete.
