To facilitate the students aspiring MTech admission at the IITs, COAP (Common Offer Acceptance Portal) is introduced in the Year 2017. GATE COAP 2019, provides a platform for a candidate to make the preferred choice in M.Tech programs admission offered in participating IITs on the basis of GATE Score. The process of COAP is introduced to overcome the scenario of vacant seats and to provide admission to many other deserving candidates.
After applying to the IITs of their choice, all the IIT MTech aspirants must register COAP 2019 with their GATE scores. Candidate must keep in mind that the GATE COAP 2019 is not an M.Tech Application portal, it is primarily an admission portal.
After the declaration of GATE 2019 results, all the participating institutes will begin for their postgraduate engineering (MTech) admission procedure. COAP 2019 Eligibility Criteria
- An Indian National can only register for COAP 2019.
- The candidates need to be qualified either in GATE 2017 or 2018 or 2019, they will be required to upload the scorecard of GATE 2019/2018/2017 accordingly.
- Candidate having 8.0 CGPA in their B.Tech from any of the IITs are directly eligible for the admission, they don’t have to register at GATE COAP 2019.
- Candidates are requested to provide all the details of any previous GATE exam appeared by the candidate while registering for the GATE COAP 2019.
- The candidates who have appeared more than once in the GATE (GATE 2017, 2018, 2019) exam can go for the highest scored they secured in any of the three GATE exams.

COAP 2019 Registration Process
The candidates who are qualified in the GATE exam have to register for COAP to be able to access the admission offers.
Given below are some points which will let you know how to access GATE COAP 2019 for M.Tech admission in IITs.
- Candidates have to register themselves by entering the NAME, GATE registration number, GATE Score, and other details asked by the form.
- After filling the form the candidates will receive an email or SMS which they must use to validate and use the given login ID to access the GATE COAP 2019 portal.
- After registration successfully the candidates will be having the access of information on offers made from the IITs where they have applied.
- The candidate which will get the offers will be uploaded and tagged with COAP registration number which is the same as GATE registration number without subject code.

The important instruction that candidate must keep in mind while GATE COAP 2019 registration.
- All the IITs have their individual forms for the counselling procedure.
- At counselling, candidates are requested to bring all the original documents along with them.
- Candidates should be aware and check the official website for updates of GATE 2019 counselling after the GATE 2019 result is declared on March 16, 2019.
- If a candidate wants to increase the chances of getting admission into IITs then the candidates are advised to apply to maximum the Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) for all the programs such as M.Tech, ME, M.Sc, etc. for which they are eligible.
