In ICAI’s New Scheme of Education (implemented with effect from July 01, 2017) candidates to attempt CA Final May 2018 attempt are required to complete the Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (Advanced ICITSS) successfully. Candidates are required to undergo a test after completing the Advanced Information Technology component of the above-mentioned course.
Students registered w.e.f. July 01, 2017 under the new scheme are required to successfully complete Advanced Integrated Course on Information Technology and Soft Skills (AICITSS) during the last two years of Practical Training but before appearing for the Final Examination. The students are required to undergo the course by registering in the online portal www.icaionlineregistation.org.
Accordingly, ICAI has been decided to conduct the Advanced ICITSS-Advanced Information Technology Test, an objective type test, with Multiple Choice Questions, in Paper-Pencil Mode, periodically. There would be 100 questions of 1 mark each, with no negative marking for wrong answers.
Candidates will not be permitted to take the question paper home. They will be required to hand over the question paper and the OMR answer sheet to the invigilator before leaving the exam hall.
Advanced ICITSS Test Schedule
ICAI has announced the Schedule of tests that are to be held in January, February and March 2018, for enabling students to appear in CA Final examination to be held in May 2018, as given below:
- 21st January 2018 (Sunday)
- 18th February 2018 (Sunday), and
- 18th March 2018 (Sunday)
Timings: 10.30 AM to 12.30 PM (IST)
Tests will be announced periodically as per requirements. Schedule of tests that will be held later, will be announced in due course.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have completed the Advanced ICITSS – Advanced IT course are eligible to appear in the test
Advanced ICITSS Test Centres
The test will be held in the following cities provided a sufficient number of candidates offer themselves to appear in the test, from the said cities. ICAI reserves the right to cancel the centre, in case the number of candidates who opt for appearing in that particular city/centre is not adequate and allot the candidates to any centre/city other than the one he/she has opted for.

Advanced ICITSS Examination Forms
- Candidates who have undergone the Advanced ICITTS – Advanced Information Technology course and desirous of appearing in the test, will be required to apply online at http://advit.icaiexam.icai.org and also pay the applicable test fee online.
- No physical applications will be entertained.
- There is no concept of submission of applications with a late fee.
- No change of centre will be permitted once opted.
Test Fee
- A candidate who is applying for the test for the first time will not be required to pay the test fee.
- However, those who are applying for the test thereafter, i.e. from second time onwards will be required to pay a test fee of INR 500/- online through the payment gateway only.
- Candidates with permanent disabilities and holding a permanent concession card will be exempt from paying the fees.

Passing Requirement for Advanced ICITTS est
A candidate shall be declared to have passed the test if he secures a minimum of 40% marks. Those who pass will be given grades as follows:
85% and above=A+
70% to 84%=A
55% to 69%=B+
40%-54%=B

As per ICAI guideline for appearing for May 2018 examination you should clear AICITSS exam, which is scheduled for Jan, Feb and March month. So, I doubt on your chance for MAy 2018 exams. But still, one chance in April (April 22, 2018) is there to appear and clear the AICITSS exam and request ICAI to permit you to appear in CA final May 2018 exams as the special case. All d best
