ICSI Open Book Examination Pattern: The ICSI has introduced Open Book Examination (OBE) in all the Elective papers of CS Professional Programme – Old and New Syllabus including ‘Multidisciplinary Case Studies’ paper of Professional Programme – New Syllabus. There would be major questions running in the minds of CS aspirants, is “What are Open Book Exams?”.
Why ICSI Introduced OBE?
ICSI introduced Open Book Exam in order to inculcate and develop skills of creative thinking, problem-solving and decision making amongst students and to assess their analytical ability, a real understanding of Acts, Rules, Regulations, concepts and capability to apply, rather than to simply recall, replicate and reproduce concepts and principles in the examination.
However, in all other subjects of Professional Programme (Old and New Syllabus), candidates would continue to be examined as per the traditional pattern of examination.
