IIM Udaipur has completed the Summer Placement process for Post Graduate Programme (PGP) 2016-18 batch consisting of 181 students. As many as 46 recruiters came to IIMU for summer placement. According to IIM Udaipur, highest recruiting sector is manufacturing /Engineering/Energy followed by BFSI (Banking, Financial Services and Insurance).
Offers were made in various other domains like business analytics (11), operations (11), human resource management (7) and information technology (12).The role or function from which largest number of offers was made is Business Development/Sales & Marketing followed by Finance.
Among the 181 students in the batch, 157 sought placements through the institute and eight opted for the Summer Entrepreneurship Programme offered by IIMU. The institute proactively supports and encourages Entrepreneurship and hence, is supporting eight students to work on their Business plan as a part of internship program. As a part of this the students will be supported by the institute and corporate mentors throughout the process. Besides, the students will also be offered stipend of Rs.10,000 per month by the institute.
The number of companies rose drastically by 9.6% over the previous year as a total of 46 companies made offers for summer internships. Average stipend offered is Rs. 52,653 and the highest stipend is 1,60,000 which is 10 per cent higher than last year.
The number of international offers by firms doubled this year. The campus played host to three international companies – Centurion Consulting Group, NMC Healthcare and Xpress Money. These companies recruited 14 students who will have a unique opportunity to intern outside the country.

Regular recruiters included Amul, Berger Paints, Bosch India, Cummins, Dell, Droom, General Electric India, Genpact , HPCL, ICICI Bank, Info Edge India Limited (Naukri.com),IP Rings, Jaipur Rugs, Jindal Steel and Power, NMC Healthcare, PhillipCapital, RBL Bank, Resonance Eduventures, Secure Meters, Shree Cement, Snapdeal, Titan, United Biscuits, United Breweries, VF Corporation, Wipro, Xpress Money, and Yes Bank.
While 18 new companies such as Access Development Services, Babaji Shivram, Bombay Shaving Company, Centurion Consulting Group, Decathlon, Decimal Point Analytics, Eicher Polaris, Eko India Financial Services, Intellecap, iVirtual CFO, Magma Fincorp, MobileFirst, National Innovation Foundation India, Orion Systems Integrators, PNB MetLife India Insurance Company, Rubique, SMC Global Securities, Wishtree Technologies joined the list.
The average stipend offered stands at Rs 52,653 while the highest stipend offered jumped to Rs 1,60,000, a 10% rise over the previous year. The average stipend for the international placements is Rs 1,08,425.
