The Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has released the admit cards of IES Prelims 2018 Exam for Indian Engineering Services, also known as Engineering Services Exam (ESE) on their official website upsc.gov.in. IES Prelims 2018 Exam is scheduled to be conducted on January 07, 2018 in 42 exam cities across the country. It is mandatory that candidates should bring the hard copy of the admit card along with a valid photo id proof in original while appearing for the exam at the examination center.
UPSC aims to recruit approximately 588 candidates including 18 PH(LDCP‐15 & HI‐03) posts in engineering positions in various departments and ministries of the central government via Engineering Services Exam (ESE). The UPSC Engineering Services Exam (ESE) will be conducted on 7th January 2018 in 42 exam cities across the country.
The admit card is available for download in online mode only. No hard copy of admit card would be sent by UPSC. It is solely the responsibility of the candidate to download and bring the hard copy of the admit card at the examination centre. Candidates who had successfully registered for the same can follow the instructions below and download their admit card at the earliest.
How to Download UPSC IES Prelims 2018 Admit Cards?
Step 1 – Visit the official website upsc.gov.in
Step 2 – Click on Admit Cards tab on the right-hand side of the UPSC home screen.
Step 3 – Click on ‘click here’ given in front of Engineering Services (Preliminary) Examination, 2018.
Step 4 – On the next page, after reading the examination ‘Important Instruction’ again click on ‘YES’.
Step 5 – Select Registration Id or Roll Number,
Step 6 – Enter your Roll Number or Registration ID (the one that you had selected on the previous page)
Step 7 – Download your Admit card and take a print out for further reference.
Technical Instructions While Downloading IES Prelims 2018 Admit Card
1. Admit Card Application is best suitable for latest versions of Google Chrome and Mozilla Firefox Browsers.
3. Do not use mobile or other gadgets for downloading e-ADMIT CARD.Preferably use Windows OS on Desktop Machine.
4. If you are having any problem in downloading e-Admit card using suggested browsers then clear the cache and cookies of the browser using browser setting. In case if you are still unable to download the e-Admit card then please try to download the admit card using another computer machine.
Candidates should not panic in case the website is down for some reason. Wait for some time. Details in the IES Prelims 2018 Admit Card
The admit card of UPSC IES prelims 2018 exam will mention the following details:
- Name of the Applicant
- Date of Birth
- Mother’s Name
- Father’ s Name
- Roll Number
- Date and timings of the examination
- Address of the examination center
The admit cards will bear information related to exam venue and exam time along with other important instructions. As per an official notice, “Applicants should note that there will be a ceiling on the number of candidates allotted to each of the centres except Chennai, Delhi, Dispur, Kolkata, and Nagpur. Allotment of Centres will be on the first apply first allot basis and once the capacity of a particular centre is attained, the same will be frozen.”
UPSC Selection Procedure
Those candidates who qualify the preliminary round exam will have to appear for the main exam, dates of which will be released later. Those who clear the main exam will then be called for the interview round.
