Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced that the results of the Chartered Accountants (CA) Final Examination held in May 2017 and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) held in June 2017 are likely to be declared on Tuesday, the 18th July 2017 around 2.00 pm.
ICAI will also disclose the merit list (candidates securing a minimum of 55% and above marks and upto the maximum of 50th Rank in the case of Final Examination in accordance with the decision of the Examination Committee) on all India basis. The CA Final May 2017 Results or CPT June 2017 Results can be obtained through direct login on official website, Email and SMS options, as provided by ICAI.

Through Portal
The result of both the exams will be announced on ICAI Exam official website, icaiexam.icai.org . To check the result, the candidates will have to enter the Roll Number and PIN Number or Registration Number. Hence, to check the result Roll Number is mandatory but candidates may choose between Registration or Pin Number.

Through E-mail
The exam conducting body has also invited registration from those candidates of Final Examination and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) who wish to get their result in their mailbox on their e-mail. The registration for this will begin from July 14, 2017, and can be done from the official website icaiexam.icai.org only. The registered candidates will receive their result through email at their e-mail addresses registered on official website immediately after the declaration of the result. You can also submit your email and phone to receive notification regarding result.

Through SMS
Apart from this, students of Final Examination and Common Proficiency Test (CPT) held in May/June 2017 can also access their result with marks through SMS. This service is available through India Times. Candidates wants to check through SMS medium need to register in advance by sending SMS at 58888. The complete procedure to check the result as mentioned below.
The result card of CA Final and CPT will contain subject wise marks and Pass/Fail Status. It is important to note that the candidates who qualified will be able to download Rank Card within two weeks after the announcement of the result.
AfterGraduation congratulate to qualifiers of both the CPT and CA Final examinations. The qualifiers of CA Final examination will be certified as proper Chartered Accountant (CA). Whereas, the qualifiers of CPT examination will move forward for their CA dream by applying for the further level of training and Intermediate course (IPCC).
ICAI CPT Previous Results
For the CPT results declared for Dec 2016 attempt, the Pass Percentage was 46.4%. Pass Rate of Male students was 45.81% and Female students was 47.37%. A total of 70,383 sudents have appeared for the exam, out of which 32,658 have cleared the exam. This is the highest Pass Percentage since CPT has been introduced into CA Course.

ICAI Course New Scheme
The scheme of the exams has been changed for the CA Final and CPT Paper from this year. The exam with the new scheme is due to be held in the month of May 2018. Significant changes have been made in both exams, which includes replacing of subjects and nomenclature. However, the students need not to worry much as the old scheme will also be running until June 2019. The students will be able to switch from old to new or new to the old scheme as well.
This has increased the number of opportunity for the candidates. However, only those already registered candidates can appear for the examination under the new scheme, who have registered for new course before June 30, 2017. The Revised Scheme of Education and Training for CA course will come into effect from July 01, 2017.
In CA Final, the difference between the old and new scheme is in the Group II. Here, Advanced Management Accounting and Information Systems Control and Audit have been replaced with Strategic Cost Management and Performance Evaluation and Elective Papers.
As far as CPT is concerned, the candidates will have study Principles and Practices of Accounting, Business Law & Business Correspondence and Reporting, Business Mathematics and Logical Reasoning &Statistics, and Business Economics & Business and Commercial Knowledge.
