Indian Business School, ISB’s Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGP) marked its debut grabing 4th rank in the Bloomberg Businessweek Asia-Pacific B-Schools Ranking 2019-20, CEIBS topped in the Ranking.
ISB is ranked fourth and is the only B-School listed from India. Moreover, ISB ranked first on learning and networking parameter, and second on entrepreneurship and fifth in compensation in the Asia Pacific region.
This year, Bloomberg Businessweek decided to publish its business school rankings by region instead of bringing out a global ranking. It has released separate ranking lists for the 4 regions – Europe, Asia-Pacific, Canada and the US.
Overall, the ranking survey covered 131 business schools around the world to find the best programmes to get an MBA. The ranking was on the basis of data collected and compiled from more than 9,000 students, 14,920 alumni and 2,860 corporate recruiters besides compensation and job-placement data from each school.
The Asia-Pacific Ranking has listed a total of seven schools evaluated on the basis of four parameters, namely, Compensation, Learning, Networking and Entrepreneurship.

CEIBS in Shanghai is the top school in the region for the second year. Bloomberg ranked HKUST (Hong Kong) second for the second consecutive year, while NUS in Singapore moved up one place to third.
The Indian School of Business was a new entrant to the ranking at fourth place, and it scored first for learning and networking, which helped its students achieve a record year for employment outcomes.

Bloomberg Businessweek B-school Ranking Methodology
Bloomberg’s 2019-20 list is broken down into four regions: Europe, Asia-Pacific, Canada and the US. The Bloomberg Businessweek B-school Ranking is Based on more than 26,804 surveys of MBA students, alumni, and recruiters.
The overall ranking is based on the data provided by schools on four indexes- Compensation, Learning, Networking, and Entrepreneurship. The Compensation Index has a weight of 37.3%, Networking Index 25.7%, Learning Index 21.3% and Entrepreneurship Index 15.7%.
The data was collected in 2019 to help prospective students make better decisions about schools they might attend in 2020.
Bloomberg ranked 131 B-Schools around the world, up from 124 in 2018, with 94 in the US. All schools were required to submit employment data for the Class of 2018, following standards set by MBA CSEA, a trade group founded in 1994 to establish and collect consistent, comparable, peer-reviewed data.
