XAT is a management exam conducted annually at a national level by the Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI) Jamshedpur for students to acquire admission into MBA programmes in over 150 B-schools of the country. With 11 member educational institutes and 145 associate ones that accept students based on their XAT scores, the test has gained quite the deserving popularity.
Conducted by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE), CMAT is the second most well-known online entrance examinations for admission into post graduate management courses in India in over 500 reputed colleges. The test gained popularity after it was first conducted in 2012. With over 1.5 lakh candidates appearing for it every year since it was first launched.
- Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP)
Candidates seeking admission into post graduate programmes at one of the 15 management institutions affiliated to Symbiosis International University have to appear for SNAP as a pre-requisite to apply for admission. Symbiosis National Aptitude Test (SNAP) is a University level online MBA entrance examination conducted nationally.
- Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT)
One of the leading business schools of the country, Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) is quite renowned for the international business administration and strategy courses it offers. The Institute conducts an annual national level entrance examination for candidates to acquire admission in postgraduate management courses at three of its campuses, IIFT Delhi, IFT Kakinada and IIFT Kolkata.
Management Aptitude Test is conducted by All India Management Association (AIMA) four times annually, scores of which are accepted by more than 600 B-schools and management institutes India for admission to MBA/PGDM programmes. The test is conducted in both online (computer-based) and offline (written) modes in February, May, September, and December all over the country.
NMIMS Management Aptitude Test (NMAT) is a national level MBA entrance examination conducted by GMAC each year. Aspirants seeking admission to postgraduate management courses in Narsee Monjee Institute of Management Studies (NMIMS), Alliance University, SRM University, BML Munjal University, VIT University, ICFAI Business School (IBS) and Ansal University have to first appear for NMAT.
Candidates are allowed to appear for NMAT three times (two additional optional re-attempts) during the testing window from October to December, out of which the best score is considered the final one.
- AIMS Test for Management Admissions (ATMA)
ATMA is yet another entrance examination conducted annually both offline and online all over the country, scores of which are accepted to acquire admission in a top ranking management institution of the country. - ICFAI Business School Aptitude Test (IBSAT)
IBSAT is an online aptitude test conducted by The ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education annually for candidates to acquire admission into postgraduate and doctoral programmes of the nine ICFAI business schools across India. These management institutions are located in Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Dehradun, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Kolkata, Mumbai and Pune.
- MICAT (Mudra Institute of Communications Admission Test)
MICAT is organized by Mudra Institute of Communications, Ahmedabad, for admission to Post Graduate Diploma in Management – Communications (PGDM-C). The institute offers 180 seats in total and 8000 students register each year to compete for those. MICAT is held twice a year (MICAT I and MICAT II). Best of the two scores are considered for final admission. Along with MICAT, it is also mandatory for the candidate to appear in CAT, XAT or GMAT.
