Human Resource Development (HRD) Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank announced the National Institutional Ranking Framework, NIRF Rankings 2020 for the Indian institutions. The annual rankings are usually announced in April month every year, but this year it had to be postponed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Madras takes the title of the top engineering college in India. As per the NIRF rankings, the top three engineering colleges in the country are IIT Madras, IIT Delhi and IIT Bombay. For the last two years, these three institutes have been securing the same ranks.
