GATE 2019 Result | Indian Institute of Technology, Madras (IITM) has released the GATE 2019 Result on its official website of GATE 2019 one day before its scheduled date. The candidates who had appeared in the GATE exam can now check their result on the GATE 2019 official website. Two days back, IITM released the GATE 2019 final answer keys.
Shashank Mangal, 21-year-old, from Morena district of Madhya Pradesh, the final year student of Electronics and Instrumentational Engineering (IE) at the Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Dhanbad has topped the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2019 with 989 score marks out of 1000.
Candidates who qualify for GATE 2019 would be able to take admission in the postgraduate technical courses in various IITs and other engineering colleges for the academic session starting 2019, 2020 and 2021.
GATE result is announced on the basis of marks obtained by candidates in their respective papers. The score remains valid for a period of three years from the date of declaration of result.
The GATE exam is an entrance gateway to government (PSU) jobs and colleges in India and abroad for Masters and direct Doctoral programmes in Engineering, Technology, Architecture and in other branches of Science at Indian Institute of Science and all IITs.

Besides IITs, IISc and PSUs, the GATE score is accepted by foreign universities as well. Among them, the National University of Singapore (NUS), RWTH Aachen (Germany), TU Munich (Germany) and Nanyang Technical University (NTU) accepts GATE examination score for admissions in postgraduate programmes.
The GATE 2019 examination was conducted by IIT Madras on February 2, 3, 9 and 10, 2019 from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm and from 2:30 pm to 5:30 pm. Candidates’ GATE 2019 scores are used for recruiting graduate engineers at entry-level positions in PSUs.
The scorecards are uploaded at GOAPS. The qualified candidates can download them from March 20 onwards. The GATE 2019 scorecard will be available till May 31, 2019. After that until December 31, 2019, it can be obtained as a soft copy by paying Rs 500.
How to check GATE 2019 Score?
- Candidates need to login to the official website – gate.iitm.ac.in
- Click on to ‘GATE 2019 result’ in the homepage
- Use your login details (user name and password) to access your account
- Login to check your final score, rank.
- The result will be displayed
- Download the GATE 2019 result and take a print out for future reference.
