The application process for GATE 2020 with late fee concluded on October 5, 2019, and now GATE 2020 form correction process will begin from tomorrow October 15, 2019. During the GATE-2020 Application form correction period, other than a correction in details such as Name, father’s name, college name etc., GATE 2020 applicants will also be allowed to change in examination city by log in to their GOAPS account.
The last date to submit a request for a change in the GATE 2020 examination city is November 15, 2019. Candidates would have to pay an additional fee for a change in examination centre. Registered candidates whose application has error should make sure that they make the necessary GATE-2020 application form correction within the specified time period.
GATE 2020 admit cards would be released after the form correction process is over, tentative on January 3, 2020.
GATE-2020 Application Form Correction
By using the GATE-2020 Application form correction facility, the candidates can change details like exam city, Gender, Category, PwD Status, Dyslexia status, other similar learning disabilities etc.
Candidates will be requested to attend the defects marked on GATE 2020 application form which includes Corrections in Name, DOB, Details of Parents/Guardian, Correspondence address & Qualifying degree Details. How to Make Corrections in the GATE Application form?
The candidates can follow the below steps to make any changes or corrections in the GATE application form.
- Go to the GOAPS website portal.
- Login to the website by entering the Enrollment number/Email Address and password.
- Make the required changes in the GATE 2020 application form.
- If the candidates want to change the exam centre or subject chosen, they will have to pay fees as prescribed by the exam authorities.
- Finally, click on the submit button.
- Take a print out for future reference.
About GATE 2020
The GATE 2020 examination will be conducted by the IIT Delhi on February 1, 2, 8, and 9, 2020 for 25 subjects and examination for each subject will be computer-based. The GATE 2020 result will be announced on March 16, 2020. Apart from admission to Engineering higher education, GATE score is also used for PSUs recruitment purposes.
