GATE 2023 Registration: The Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur (IITK) has activated GATE 2023 registration process. The Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) examination registration begins on August 30 and the last date to apply for the examination is till September 30, 2022, without any late fees.
The GATE 2023 Exam will be conducted for 29 papers and candidates are only allowed to appear for one or two papers. Candidates can fill out the GATE 2023 application form online at gate.iitk.ac.in, the official GATE website.
The application process for the GATE exam comprises registration, filling out the application form, uploading required documents, and payment of fees. The GATE 2023 application form must be submitted by September 30 without late fee of Rs 500/-. The extended online application period will close on October 7.

GATE 2023 Eligibility Criteria
Before filling out the GATE 2023 application form, the candidate must ensure that they meet the important parameters and GATE exam eligibility criteria 2023 for the entrance exam:
- Nationality: Candidates must be of Indian nationality to apply for GATE. However, candidates from Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Singapore, Ethiopia, Nepal, and United Arab Emirates (UAE) are also eligible to apply.
- Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for GATE 2023. candidates of all age groups shall be eligible to apply for the entrance examination.
- Academic Qualification: There is no minimum qualification or percentage to appear in the GATE 2023 exam.
- As per the official notification of GATE 2023, a candidate who is currently pursuing 3rd or higher years of any undergraduate degree program or has already completed any government-approved degree program such as Engineering / Architecture/ Technology / Commerce /Science/ Arts is eligible for the GATE 2023 exam.
- The candidates who possess certification from any of the professional societies must ensure that those examinations are conducted by approved authorities such as MoE / AICTE / UGC / UPSC as equivalent to BE / BTech / BArch etc.

How to fill GATE 2023 Application Form?
Candidates can refer to the steps given below to complete GATE registration.
- Visit the GATE official website – gate.iitk.ac.in.
- Click on the direct link to complete the registration process using personal details – Direct link to apply for GATE 2023
- Click on Login link available on the home page.
- Login and fill in educational qualification, communication information, and other details.
- Upload scanned images of the photograph, signature, category certificate, and valid photo identity card (Aadhar card, pan card, driving license) as per the specifications. The photo ID should include the candidate’s name and date of birth.
- Pay the application fee in online mode. GATE 2023 registration fee is Rs 850 for all female and reserved category candidates. All other candidates including foreign nationals have to pay Rs 1700 as application fee.
- Preview and submit the GATE 2023 application form for future reference.
- Your application has been submitted.
- Download the confirmation page and keep a hard copy of the same for further need.
Applicants who complete the online application before the last date of the GATE 2023 registration date, will be issued the hall ticket. As per the schedule, IIT Kanpur will release the GATE admit card 2023 on January 3.
