ICAI CA November Exam 2020: As per the latest update, the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has introduced ‘opt out’ scheme for CA November 2020 exam for final, intermediate and foundation course students. Candidates, who are COVID positive or are residing in containment zones, can opt to appear for CA Exams in January – February 2021 attempt instead.
Who can choose CA Nov 2020 opt out Scheme?
As per the official notification, the opt out option for ICAI CA November 2020 Exam has been introduced to benefit following students who have already submitted an online application for the said exam
- currently COVID-19 positive or having symptoms of COVID-19 at any time up to the conclusion of exams
- students whose family members are detected as COVID positive, or
- students who reside in containment zone areas, will also be able to opt out of the November 2020 attempt of CA Exams.
Options For the Opt Out Students
Students who are eligible to opt out of the November attempt of CA Exams 2020, will be able to forward their current attempt to another exam cycle that would be conducted in the second half of January 2021 or the first half of February 2021.
As per the notification, the examination fees and exemption, if any, of the particular student will automatically be shifted and carried forward to the next examination i.e. November 2020 cycle-II and this attempt (November 2020) will not be counted.
How to Avail Opt Out Facility?
Candidates who want to opt out of the CA November 2020 exams for CA Foundation, Final, Final–New, IPCE, IPCE-New will be required to apply for the same online. Candidates can avail the opt out option for ICAI CA November 2020 exam by logging onto icaiexam.icai.org till December 14, 2020.
