Indian Engineering Olympiad, IEO 2018 is an initiative by Thinkcell learning solutions is a national level platform for engineering students to show their skills in their respective branch. It offers a real test of engineering aptitude for the engineering students in their respective fields.
IEO 2018 exam is scheduled to be conducted on February 25, 2018, across more than 65 centers in India. The registration for the aptitude test is open. More than 1,80,000 students from the engineering colleges across the country are expected to take part in the third edition of Indian Engineering Olympiad to test their skills against each other.
Candidates who are willing to appear in the aptitude test will have to register before the deadline for registration i.e January 28, 2018. IEO 2018 is a 90 minutes paper-based exam that will test students in the second, third & final year of engineering on aptitude and technical knowledge in their respective streams.

TOPPER in each category will get a cash prize of Rs 15000/- and TOP 3 rankers from each stream will be rewarded with medals, scholarships and excellence certificates. TOP 100 rankers in each stream will get financial scholarships and merit certificates and all students who clear in the IEO 2018 exam will get a participation certificate. There are also awards for the colleges for best overall performance and best performance in each stream.

IEO 2018 Eligibility Criteria
In order to appear for the Olympiad exam IEO 2018, candidates need to meet the eligibility criteria mentioned below:
- Aspirants must be 2nd, 3rd& 4th Year students pursuing engineering in any college across the country.
- Graduate students are not eligible for this Olympiad exam.

In 2017, the second edition of IEO was conducted across more than 50 centers in India. According to the exam conducting body, more than 1,54,000 students registered for the exam from the 2nd, 3rd & 4th year of engineering across various streams.
For 2018, Thinkcell Learning Solutions is expecting over 1,80,000 students to participate in the aptitude test from the top of the engineering colleges across the country.

About IEO Exam
Candidates can take IEO as per the following categories:

IEO 2018 Exam Pattern
The question paper of all categories will consist of 50 multiple choice questions across 2 sections. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to complete the question paper. Answers are to be marked on an OMR sheet. Students can download a mock paper along with key from the IEO website for their preparation.

If a candidate clears the exam, he/she will be rewarded as per the following criteria:
- Toppers in each category will be rewarded with a cash prize of INR 15000.
- Top 3 students in each category will be given medals and certificate of excellence. Financial Scholarships for Toppers by sponsors.
- Top 100 students in each category will be given merit certificates.
- Participation certificates will be given to all the students who qualified for the exam.
- Award for College with best overall performance in each category.
- Best College of the Year award for college with best overall performance.
