The QS EMBA Global rankings 2018 are released by Quacquarelli Symonds (QS). Pennsylvania University’s Wharton School of Business has topped the QS Executive MBA Global Rankings 2018 with MIT Sloan in the second place and the London Business School (LBS) coming third in the rankings. IIM Bangalore and ISB Hyderabad secured a place amongst the top 100 of the QS EMBA Global Rankings 2018.
QS which ranks management institutions under various heads like Masters in Finance, Global MBA, Masters in Management, Global Executive MBA and Masters in Business Analytics every year.
These rankings are based on various factors like employability, ROI, alumni outcomes, and other important indicators. These rankings provide vital information about more than 230 elite management institutions and business schools from over 30 countries.
It was a proud year for India, as two of its top Premium Management Institutes were listed amongst the top 100 EMBA provider institutions of the world in the recently released QS Rankings 2018. IIM Bangalore and ISB Hyderabad secured a place amongst the top 100 of the QS EMBA Global Rankings 2018.
This year, Wharton Business School of Penn University stands clear on the number 1 position in the QS EMBA Rankings list, followed by MIT (Sloan) and London Business School at second and third positions respectively. Indian institutions also made it in the list with Indian Institute of Management Bangalore at 63rd position and Indian School of Business Hyderabad at 79th position. They secured 11th and 12th position respectively in Asia- Pacific region rankings.

Northwestern Kellogg is ranked 4th followed by Berkeley Haas sharing the 5th spot with Chicago Booth. Incidentally, Booth is ranked number 1 in the QS EMBA Asia-Pacific Rankings. Colombia is ranked 7, followed by Oxford Said in the 8th, UCLA Anderson 9th and Cambridge Judge in the 10th rank of QS EMBA Global rankings 2018.
These rankings are released in association with topuniversities.com, and they prove to be a vital tool for any business-minded or entrepreneurial executives to learn more about the world’s best EMBA programs.
The topuniversities.com states that the rankings are compiled on the basis of five contributing factors which include employability with 35% contribution, entrepreneurship & alumni outcomes with 15%, return on investment with 20%, thought leadership with 20% and Class and Faculty diversities with 10% contribution.

IIM Bangalore’s Post Graduate Programme in Enterprise Management (PGPEM) ranked 63 in QS EMBA Global rankings 2018 is a 2-year weekend management program for middle and senior level professionals with a minimum of four years of work experience after graduation.
Students of the EQUIS accredited program that starts in April have an average work experience of 11 years. Women comprise 21% of the class. The graduates draw an average salary of $42,620 post 3 months.
ISB’s AACSB accredited PGPMAX ranked 79 in QS Global EMBA rankings 2018 is a 15-month program for professionals and business owners/entrepreneurs with 10 to 25 years of work experience.
The students of this program, starting in January, has a class size of 71. The students with an average age of 35 have an average work experience of 18 years. International students comprise 30% of the class and women 5%.
Only two Indian Management Institutes in the top 100 Global and Asia-Pacific region Institutions is a little worrying but the road ahead looks assuring as various other top premium institutes from India namely IIM Ahmedabad, IIM Bangalore, and ISB Hyderabad were listed among the top 100 of the QS Global MBA Rankings 2018 while three of the IIMs have been ranked amongst the top 50 in the world for their Masters in Management Programme. The rankings have also seen an improvement from previous years and it is only expected to go up with time.
