SSC CGL 2018 Recruitment Notification, Application Form Released, Apply Now

Staff Selection Commission, SSC is one of the most desirable organizations for conducting Government exams in India. Staff Selection Commission has officially announced SSC CGL 2018 notification on May 05, 2018. Earlier, it was scheduled to release on April 21, 2018. The SSC CGL (Combined Graduate Level) Examination 2018 notification has been officially released on its official website that is ssc.nic.in. Eligible and Interested candidates can apply for SSC CGL 2018 from May 5 to June 4, 2018.

Staff Selection Commission will hold the Combined Graduate Level Examination, 2018 for filling up Group “B” and Group “C” posts in various Ministries/ Departments/ Organizations in the Government of India. The Tier-I of CGL Examination will be Computer Based Mode is scheduled to be held from July 25, 2018, to August 20, 2018.


SSC conducts the CGL examination to fill the vacancies for various posts across the country. Around 15 lakh candidates appear for SSC CGL recruitment every year. SSC CGL 2018 Eligibility Criteria

  1. A candidate who is appearing for SSC CGL 2018 must be a citizen of India.
  2. Age Limit

To become an eligible candidate for CGL Exam 2018 an applicant must have to be in minimum age limit criteria. Below given is the table which will show you the posts wise age limit criteria.

Assistant (Ministry of External Affairs) 20 to 30 years
Assistant (AFHQ) 20 to 30 years
Assistants in Intelligence Bureau (Ministry of Home Affairs) 21 to 27 years
Statistical Investigator Grade-II 18 to 32 years
Sub-Inspector in Central Bureau of Narcotics 18 to 25 years
Assistant Audit Officer (Indian Audit and Accounts Department under CAG) 18 to 30 years
Sub-Inspector in NIA  18 to 30 years
Assistant Enforcement Officers  18 to 30 years
  1. Educational Qualification

This is the important part to be noticed in the eligibility criteria of CGL Exam 2018. The basics for all the posts is the same i.e Graduation Degree. Some additional qualification will be needed for different posts. Details are given below:-

Junior Statistical Officer Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level.
Or
Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.
Assistant Audit Officer(AAO) Graduation with required some desirable Qualification.

  • Master in Business Studies / MBA (Finance) OR
  • Master in Business Economics
  • Chartered Accountant OR Cost and Management Accountant OR

SSC Vacancies 2018

SSC CGL 2018 Examination Pattern

The candidates who are appearing for SSC CGL 2018 must have to appear in all the four phases of the examination (Tier- 1 to 4) to get a job in the commission.

Tier 1 

It will be a computer-based exam. Candidates will have an hour to answer the 100 questions to score a maximum of 200 marks. There will be a negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer.

Tier 2

It will contain questions on Quantitative Abilities, English Language and Comprehension, Statistics and General Studies (Finance and Economics). The candidates will have two hours to score a total of 800 marks (200 per section). There will be negative marking of 0.5 for each wrong answer in all sections except English which will have a negative marking of 0.25.

How to Apply for SSC CGL 2018?

The application forms will be available from May 5, 2018, to June 4, 2018. The application must be submitted through online mode only. Candidates can submit the online application (including payment of fees through online mode) only till June 4 (5:00 pm).

  2. Fill the important details by clicking on the new registration button.
  3. After completing the registration details you will receive a registration number and password.
  4. Complete all the details, and make the payment.
  5. The Application fees can be paid through online payment mode, GEN/OBC – Rs 100, SC/ST/Ex-servicemen/Women – No fees.
  6. Your Application form is filled now for SSC CGL 2018.

SSC CGL 2018 Selection Process

The candidates who are appearing for SSC CGL 2018 must have to appear in all the four phases of the examination (Tier- 1 to 4) to get a job in the commission. Once the Tier 1 exam results are out, selected candidates will be called for Tier-II exam, the dates for which will be notified later.

NOTE:-The merit list will be prepared on the basis of all the tiers and candidates have to clear all the tiers separately.
