The online registration of the Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) Civil Services Prelims 2020 exam has begun from February 12, 2020. A total of 796 vacancies including 24 vacancies reserved for Persons with Benchmark Disability Category have been announced on Wednesday, Feb 12, 2020, in the UPSC Civil Services 2020 Notification.
The Civil services preliminary examination 2020 will be conducted on May 31, 2020. UPSC has released the official notification regarding Civil Services Examination 2020 on its official website and has started the online application process from the same day, Wednesday, February 12, 2020. The deadline for submission of online application for the civil services exam 2020 is at 6:00 pm on March 03, 2020.
Candidates interested for Indian Civil Services (Indian Administrative Service (IAS), Indian Foreign Service (IFS), Indian Police Service (IPS), Indian Railway Traffic Service (IRTS), Indian Railway Accounts Service (IRAS) and Indian Railway Personnel Service (IRPS), among others) can register online for the examination. UPSC Civil Services 2020 Eligibility
Education Qualification: The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s (Undergraduate) degree from a recognized university or have an equivalent degree.
Age Limit: A candidate must have a minimum age of 21 years and must not have attained the age of 32 years on the 1st of August 2020 i.e., a candidate must have been born after 01st August 1988 and before 1st August 1999. There is upper age relaxation for reserved category.

How to Apply for UPSC CSE Prelims 2020?
Interested and eligible candidates are required to apply Online by using the UPSC Official website. Before the registration, candidates are advised to read the UPSC released complete notification and understand eligibility conditions, how to apply among other details.
Allotment of test Centres will be on the “first-apply-first allot” basis. To get a centre of the choice, applicants should apply early.
UPSC CSE Prelims Registration Fee
Candidates are required to pay the UPSC Civil Services Prelims 2020 examination fee of Rs. 100 (One Hundred only) by remitting the money in any Branch of State Bank of India or by using Visa/Master/RuPay Credit/Debit Card or by using Internet Banking of SBI. Female/SC/ST/persons with Benchmark disability candidates are exempted from payment of examination fee.
Civil Services Selection Procedure
The Civil Services selection procedure consists of two stages (i) Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination, and (ii) Civil Services (Main) Examination and Interview. The civil services Prelims exam is objective type and qualifies the candidates for the Main Examination. The CSE main examination is Written type.
