Admissions Open For IIM Calcutta MBAEx Programme

The application process for the IIM Calcutta MBAEx Programme is open now. IIM Calcutta MBAEx is 1-Year MBA program is meant for Executives with more than five years of professional experience. IIM Calcutta released the application schedule for the 2020-21 admissions, the 14^th Batch of the full-time One Year residential program at its campus.

IIM Calcutta provides an ideal platform as MBAEx (MBA for Executives) for mid-career professionals to expand their existing skill sets for senior and top management roles in the industry. IIM Calcutta is the first management institute in the country accredited by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS, i.e., accredited by all the three major accreditation agencies in the world for management education.

The management program for Executive has attracted cohorts that are an eclectic mix of youth and experience. Along with classroom learning, Institute emphasis on case discussions to provide practical experience to the students of unravelling real-life business puzzles. This program helps future business leaders hone their skills while tackling real-world challenges.

Eligibility Criteria for IIM Calcutta MBAEx Programme

• A candidate should possess a bachelor’s degree (minimum 10+2+3 years of formal education) or equivalent in any discipline.
• At least 5 years of full-time post qualification managerial/professional experience as on March 31, 2020, is needed.
• A valid GMAT Score (taken within the last 36 months of application date).

Admission Schedule for IIMC MBAEx 2020-21

The admission process of the IIM Calcutta MBAEx programme will be in two rounds, with the following dates:

NOTE: A candidate can apply only once in one academic year in any of admission cycle.

How to fill up the application form

Before proceeding to complete the application process, make sure you have all the required information and scanned copies of the original documents with you. Read the complete instructions before proceeding for completing the Online application.

The other documents required at the time of online application are the GMAT score card, proof of proficiency in English, if applicable, self-attested scanned copies of original certificates and mark sheets/transcripts of examinations passed/degrees obtained, Scanned copy of passport size colour photo. You should also submit a Statement of Purpose and two Letters of Recommendation.

While filling the online application, the candidate needs to submit the Names and contact information of two Referees who will provide the letter of Recommendation. A referee could be your mentor/supervisor from the last company you have worked for or by someone from the industry/Academics who is familiar with your professional achievements.

You will not be able to make any changes to the Application once it is submitted.  So, once the application is completed you should “Preview” the application very carefully before submitting it. 

Along with the application form, an application fee Rs 2000 (Non-refundable) for Indian nationals and US$ 100 (Non-refundable) for NRI/Foreign Nationals/Applications sent from outside India is to be paid to complete the application process.

You may make the payment online by Debit/Credit Card or using the Net Banking facility. Alternately you may also make your payment through a Demand Draft/Banker’s Cheque drawn in favour of Indian Institute of Management, Calcutta and payable at Kolkata, India. You will have to provide the cheque/draft information and upload a scanned copy of the same along with your application to successfully complete the process.

Fees & Other Expenses for IIMC MBAEx 2020-21

The program fee for the academic year 2020-21 will be around Rs 27,00,000 (non-refundable) or equivalent US$ for one year, plus tax as applicable, payable in four instalments.

• The first instalment of Rs 4,00,000 (plus tax as applicable) should be paid by December 11, 2019 (commitment fee) along with the acceptance of the admission offer.
• The second instalment of Rs 7,00,000 (plus tax as applicable) should be paid by April 16, 2020.
• The third instalment of Rs 8,00,000 (plus tax as applicable) is to be paid by July 25, and
• the fourth instalment of Rs 8,00,000 (plus tax as applicable) by November 28.2020.

The program fee includes tuition fees, cost of study material, accommodation and cost of study tours organised by IIM Calcutta. However, the personal expenses of the students – food, personal travel, electricity, cable TV, other utility and misc. expenses and any other expenses of personal nature during their stay in the campus or abroad are to be borne by the Students only. At the time of registration, an amount of Rs 20,000 has to be paid by the candidate as refundable caution deposit.
