CAT 2017 Result Declared; Download and Check Your Score Card

CAT 2017 Result has been declared by Indian Institute of Management (IIM) Lucknow, the coordinating IIM for CAT 2017. The Common Admission Test CAT 2017 result enables candidates to opt for admission to postgraduate management programmes at 20 IIMs and other top business schools in the country. Candidates can check their score on the CAT 2017 official website iimcat.ac.in. CAT result is declared in the form of percentile score with 100 percentile being the maximum.

To secure admission for management programmes in IIMs and other top Business Schools, the candidates who cleared CAT with the percentile criterion set by each institute will have to appear for a group discussion and personal interview and other admission processes of the institute.

CAT Score is also used by Non-IIM institutes such as MDI Gurgaon, SPJIMR Mumbai, GreatLakes, JBIMS Mumbai, FMS Delhi etc to extend admissions in various Post Graduate Management programmes based on the scores of the candidates.

Similar to last year, 20 candidates have scored an overall 100 percentile in CAT 2017.  But, in CAT 2016 results all the top 20 candidates were Male and Engineers, this year the top 20 list contains two female candidates and three non-engineers too.

How to Check CAT 2017 Result?

IIM Lucknow has released the Score card for candidates who appeared in the Common Admission Test 2017. Candidates will need their login id and password to login and download their scorecard. CAT is conducted by IIMs for admission to Post Graduate management programmes at 20 IIMs.  CAT scores are valid for one year and can be downloaded from the official website within a period of one year.

Step 2: Click on the link for CAT 2017 Score Card.
Step 3: Enter your login id and password.
Step 4: Click on Submit.

Highlights of CAT 2017

1. IIM Lucknow has conducted and released the CAT 2017 result.
2. Approximately 2.31 Lakh candidates had registered for the exam while a total of 199,632 candidates appeared for the exam.
3. CAT 2017 exam was held on November 26, 2017, in two shifts.

Now, the IIMs and other B-Schools will begin the shortlisting process for selection rounds. 20 IIMs will be admitting nearly 4,000 students into their flagship two-year management programs. The ensuing selection process comprises Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interview (PI). Candidates are selected for selection rounds primarily on the basis of their CAT percentile, relevant work experience, and academic performance.

On the basis of CAT 2017 result and scores, IIMs will shortlist candidates for the further selection process.
