The online application process for Xavier Aptitude Test, XAT 2019 begins today, August 20 and the last date to fill the application form is November 30, 2018. The examination will be conducted at various centres across the country on January 6, 2019, from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm. Candidates who wish to appear for the exam should apply for the same from the official website of XAT (xatonline.in).
XAT is recorded as the second favourite MBA entrance exam, as around 90,000 candidates applied to this exam last year. The XAT exam will be conducted by Xavier Labour Relations Institute (XLRI), Jamshedpur on the first Sunday of January 2019 i.e Jan. 06, 2019. There are more than 150 management institutes which accept XAT scores for admission to their management programmes. XAT is an online based exam and will be held in 47 cities in India and 2 test cities abroad that is Kathmandu and Dubai.
XAT is a national level entrance exam for admission to the post graduate management programmes. The online exam is conducted by Xavier Association of Management Institutes (XAMI).
The application forms begin on 20 August 2018 and it will close on 30 November 2018, the application forms are available on XAT official website. Candidates can pay the fees of application forms online with the help of debit/credit cards. Eligibility Criteria for XAT 2019
There are certain eligibility criteria for XAT 2019 that management aspirants must follow before applying-
- Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in any course from a recognized university or institute.
- There has to be a minimum of three years of the programme that candidate has completed.
- If the candidates are in their final year of graduation, then also they are eligible to apply for XAT 2019.
- For XAT 2019 there is no age limit.
Registration Process for XAT 2019
For registration, candidates have to visit the official website of XAT 2019. Candidate while registration needs to upload their scanned images of signature and passport size photograph in the required below format. After successful registration, the applicants will undergo a XAT ID and registration link.
Documents Required for Registration
– Scanned image of passport-size colour photograph against the white background. (200 x 230 pixels, 20-50 kb)
– Scanned image of a candidate’s signature with a black pen on white paper (140 x 60 pixels, 10-20 kb)
XAT 2019 Application Fees
XAT registration fee – Rs 1700 and for XLRI programme – Rs 300.
XAT registration fees after the deadline will be Rs 2000 and for XLRI course Rs 500.
Candidates interested in XLRI programme(s) needs to pay an additional fee for each programme. Candidates can pay their fees online through credit/debit card or by using internet banking.

Exam Pattern for XAT 2019
The exam pattern of XAT 2019 has changed a little this year, as it has removed essay writing. The XAT 2019 will be an online based test, the exam duration is also decreased from three and a half an hour to only three hours. The exam consists of four sections that are verbal and logical ability, decision making, quantitative ability and data interpretation, and general knowledge.
The marking scheme of XAT 2019 is like ¼ marks will be deducted if the answer is wrong that is it contains negative marking and for every right answer carry one mark.

XAT 2019 Admit Card
Candidates will be able to download their admit card from 20 December 2018. Admit card will be downloaded by using candidate’s user ID and its password through the login procedure.
The center superintendent will only allow the candidate if the admit card and photo ID proof is valid.
XAT 2019 Result
The result will be declared in the last week of January 2019. The official website is the only way to check the XAT results, the results will come along with the OMR answer sheet. The result will open after using the candidate’s user ID and password.
The answer key of XAT 2019 will be published on the official website of XAT in the second week of January. Candidates can check their correct answers through the key so that they can get an estimate of right answers they are going to score in the test.
