The Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has announced the date sheet for CA Intermediate May 2020 exam under Old and New Scheme. CA Intermediate is the second level of Chartered Accountancy course. A person can register for the Intermediate Course after passing the CA Foundation and nine months of study or direct route after their bachelor degree.
The Exam Schedule for CA Intermediate May 2020 (New scheme) and CA IPC May 2020 Exams (Old Scheme) will begin from Sunday, May 03, 2020 in the afternoon session i.e 02:00 pm to 05:00 pm. CA Examinations May 2020 Application Window
- The Application Form for CA Intermediate May 2020 Exam (Old and New Scheme) can be filled online from February 05, 2020 to February 26, 2020.
- February 26, 2020, is the last date for submission of filled up examination application form without late fees and until March 04, 2020 with late fees of Rs 600/-.
- All candidates in respect of Intermediate (IPC, Under Old Scheme), Intermediate (New Scheme) Examinations will be required to apply online at https://icaiexam.icai.org and pay the applicable examination fee online only.
Study Plan for CA Intermediate May 2020 Exam (Old and New Scheme)
Students are advised to draw your own CA Intermediate (IPCC) Study Time Table and Schedule for May 2020 exam for both preparation and revision. AfterGraduation recommend-
- For preparing CA Intermediate Group 1, Students should spend at least 3 hours a day, for 3 months.
- For preparing Group 2, Students should spend at least 2 hours a day, for 2 months.
- Allocate sufficient time for Tax and Accounts in your Study Time Table for May 2020 exam, as both are scoring subjects.
- CA Intermediate May 2020 Exam (Old and New Scheme) will have a good number of amendments in Tax paper, so keep that in mind.
- CA Intermediate May 2020 Exam (Old and New Scheme) paper is likely going to be lengthy and tricky, so students are advised to practice more and more practical problems.
- Most students preparing for CA IPCC Group 2 for May 2020 will be undergoing articleship training. So, plan your studies accordingly.
ICAI Passing Grades for CA Inter Exam
CA IPC (old scheme) exams have seven subjects papers in two groups while CA Intermediate Course (New Scheme) has eight subjects in two groups. In Old Scheme of CA Intermediate, Group I consists of four subjects and Group II of three subjects while in the CA Intermediate new scheme there are four subjects each in both the groups.
A passing grade in CA Intermediate (IPC) exam is awarded if the candidate obtains 40% marks in each subject and an aggregate of 50% in each group.
