The Institute of Cost Accountants of India has announced for Certificate in Accounting Technicians Directorate, ICMAI CAT Course July 2019 Exam for Foundation Course (Entry Level) to be held on Saturday, July 06, 2019 for the eligible candidates. The Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) Course is a short term course of one-year duration for undergraduate students.
Application Forms for CAT Foundation Course Examination is available on the Institute’s website and can be filled online. In the morning session (10:00 A.M to 12:00 P.M ) of CMA CAT July 2019 exam, eligible applicants will appear for Paper I and then afternoon session (02:00 P.M to 4:00 P.M ) they will appear for Paper-II.
The ICAI (ICMAI) had introduced Certificate in Accounting Technicians (CAT) Course for 12th (10+2) passed and Under Graduates students to meet the huge demand for entry-level Accountants in India. This Course has been introduced in consultation with Ministry of Corporates Affairs, Government of India.
Eligibility Criteria for ICMAI CAT Course
The students who have passed/appearing 12th (10+2) examination are eligible to take admission in Foundation (Entry Level) Part-I of ICMAI CAT Course.

Eligibility Criteria CAT Foundation Course Examination
The eligibility conditions of the candidates to appear the Foundation Course (Entry Level) Part-I Examinations are
- Has a valid Registration Number.
- Has not debarred from appearing in the Examination.
- Submitted the examination form duly filled in within the specified time along with the requisite application fees to the Directorate of CAT and has a minimum of 70% attendance in the Oral Coaching.

Last Date for Receipt of Application Form with Late Fee of Rs.100/-: June 10, 2019

ICMAI CAT July 2019 Exam Fees
ICMAI CAT July 2018 Exam Fees (without late fees) – Rs. 730/- (Seven Hundred Thirty Only),
with late fees – Rs. 830/- (Eight Hundred Thirty Only)
Examination Fees to be paid through payment gateway by using Net banking /Credit/Debit Card or Bank Draft of requisite fees drawn in favour of “The Institute of Cost Accountants of India” payable at New Delhi.

How to Fill ICMAI CAT July 2019 Exam Form?
Application form for Foundation Course (Entry Level) Part-I Examination is available on Institute’s website and can be filled online only. After successfully submitting the online examination form, students need to send their printed filled examination Forms along with the application fees to the Directorate of CAT, The Institute of Cost Accountants of India, CMA Bhawan, 3 Institutional Area, Lodi Road, New Delhi – 110003 before the last date
A candidate who is fulfilling all conditions will only be allowed to appear for the exam.
Exam Pattern for CAT Foundation Courses (Entry Level) Part-I
The examination will be Computer-based (online) and there would be Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs) in the examination paper. There will be no negative marking for the incorrect answers.
Paper I (100 Marks)
Section A:- Fundamentals of Financial Accounting (60 Marks)
Section B:- Applied Business and Industrial Laws (40 Marks)
Total Questions:- 100
Maximum Marks:- 100 (Each MCQ will carry 1 Mark)
Paper II (100 Marks)
Section A: Financial Accounting – 2 (50 Marks)
Section B:- Statutory Compliance (50 Marks)
Total Questions:- 100
Maximum Marks:- 100 (Each MCQ will carry 1 Mark)
Standard of Pass
A Candidate shall be declared to have passed if he secures a minimum 40% marks in each paper and an aggregate of 50% of total marks in the Foundation Course (Entry Level) Part-I Examination. The probable date of result publication is July 10, 2019.
Admit Card
ICAI will issue the Admit Card for all the eligible applicants. Candidates can download their admit card from the “Admit Card” link from official ICMAI (ICAI) website before two weeks of examination.
