The Institute of Chartered Accountants of India (ICAI) has opened the Online Examination registration forms for the CPT June 2019 exam, to be conducted on Sunday, June 16, 2019, in two sessions. Students who have registered to Institute before December 30, 2018, are eligible to appear for ICAI CPT examination June 2019.
ICAI CPT (Common Proficiency Test) is the first step to become a Chartered Accountant. ICAI CPT June 2019 examination forms are available on the official website of ICAI to be filled Online. Eligible and interested candidates must apply for the ICAI CPT June 2019 exam on or before 24th April 2019 to avoid the late fee and before May 02, 2019 along with late fees.
ICAI conducts CPT exam in the months of June and December, twice a year. To appear for CPT exam, a student needs to prior registered with Institute for it. Interested and eligible students can remit the examination fee online by using either VISA or MASTER Credit / Debit Card. An additional INR 600/- towards late fee (for Domestic & Kathmandu centres) and US$ 10 (for other Overseas centres) has to remit, in case the online application is made after April 24, 2019, and up to May 02, 2019.
Eligibility Criteria To Appear CPT June 2019 Exam
- The ICAI CPT June 2019 Examination is open only for the students registered with Institute for the Common Proficiency Course on or before December 30, 2018, and fulfil the requisite eligibility conditions.
- Candidates should have Cleared Class 12th or equivalent exam to appear for the examination.
- Candidates applied for Common Proficiency Course registration with Regional offices of the Institute/Online on or before December 30, 2018, but have not yet been issued registration number, can also apply to appear for ICAI CPT June 2019 examination on Provisional basis; subject to submission of a copy of their registration letter to the Examination Department before issue of Admit Cards.

- The Application Form for admission to CPT June 2019 examination can be filled online from April 04, 2019, to April 24, 2019.
- The last date for submission of filled up examination application form with late fees is May 02, 2019.
- Aspirants for admission to Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is required to apply application online at http://icaiexam.icai.org
How to Apply for CPT Exam?
Step 1 – Visit the ICAI Examination official website.
Step 2 – A dashboard will be displayed, in that Click on ‘New User Register Here’ under Login/Register menu.
Step 3 – Fill the requisite information and Complete the registration process and then login with your credentials
Step 4 – Pay the applicable application fee and complete the application process
Step 5 – Take a printout of the confirmation page and keep it for further reference.

CA CPT Exam Pattern
Common Proficiency Test (CPT) is an entry level for Chartered Accountancy course. It is Multiple Choice Questions type objective test of 200 marks of 4 above mentioned subjects with an objective to test the basic knowledge. The students are required to darken the correct choice (circle) with a pencil in the given OMR sheet provided in the examination.
Each question of the examination paper carries one mark and has four probable choices. For every correct answer, 1 mark will be awarded and for every wrong answer, 1/4 mark will be deducted. Also multiple darkened circles for a question will also be treated as the wrong answer.
CA CPT Marking & Passing Strategy
A candidate shall be declared CPT Exam passed if he obtains at one sitting a minimum of thirty per cent marks in each section (subject) and a minimum of fifty per cent marks in the aggregate of all the sections.
