IIM Ahmedabad has concluded its process for final placement program for its PGP batch 2016-18 of 398 Students and released its IPRS report – IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2018 Audited report. IIMA has received excellent offers with the maximum hiring done in the Consulting Sector. IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2018 observed a surprising trend, the International Highest offered Package is getting down while Domestic Highest package offer is increasing from last 3 years.
The placement of IIM Ahmedabad batch 2016-18 has secured the highest domestic salary of Rs. 72 lakhs per annum and the highest international offer was placed at US$ 99172 per annum.
The Final Placements at IIM Ahmedabad was concluded on February 16. About 125 recruiters have participated for 150 different job profiles in the placement process for IIMA PGP 2016-18 batch in 2018. Accenture Strategy (18 offers), The Boston Consulting group (15 offers) and Amazon (14 Offers) have made most offers in the IIMA campus placement.
The institute has ranked one of the top B-school by MHRD in NIRF rankings for the year 2017 and 2018. According to Financial Times Ranking, IIM Ahmedabad was ranked at position 2 for Asian B-School and at position 19 for Global rankings.

IIM Ahmedabad Placement 2018 Process
The placement process of IIM Ahmedabad for its graduating batch of the PGP 2016-18 was conducted in 3 clusters. The placement process for Cluster 1 and Cluster 2 were organised on February 10 and 13, respectively and the last and the final cluster and the conclusion of the placements was organised on February 16, 2018.
The placement process was conducted in two stages that are the Laterals process and Final Process. In the laterals process where firms interviewed students with prior work experience and offered them mid-level managerial positions. In the second stage or the final placement process, firms were grouped into cohorts based on the profile offered, and groups of cohorts were invited to campus across different clusters.
There are more than 47 companies from various sectors like consulting, technology, analytics, banking and general management hired during laterals process.
Dream Campus Applications of IIM Ahmedabad
This being the golden opportunity provided by IIMA to the students, started 4 years back the concept of Dream Campus Applications allowed students to choose the sectors and functions of their choice for their final placement, students were provided with the flexibility of making “dream” applications to firms of their choice in a subsequent cluster even with an offer in hand.
In total there are 176 Application received under Dream Application. This gives students feels free to build careers in sectors of their preference.

BFSI – Barclays, Citi Bank, Credit Suisse, Deutsche Bank, Goldman Sachs, JP Morgan and Standard Chartered, Kedaara Capital, Matrix Partners, American Express, Bajaj Finserv, FinIQ, Fullerton, HSBC, and Yes Bank.
Sales and Marketing – HUL, Nestle, P&G, Reckitt Benckiser and Wipro Consumer Care.

Placement of IIMA PGP-FABM 2016-18 Batch
The Food and Agribusiness Management programme (PGP-FABM) was also wrapped up during the placements. 45 students out of 47 batch size have opted for the placements. The total of 24 companies has participated in the campus placement for the students of FABM. GAVL (Godrej Agrovet) was the largest recruiter having selected 8 students.
The placement process was attracted by recruiters such as – GAVL, ADM, Amul, Mahyco, PI Industries, Pioneering ventures, Grofers, Jain Irrigation, KPMG, ITC and many. These recruiters came from diverse sectors such as FMCG, Food Processing, Food and Agri Consulting, Agri Inputs and Services, BFSI, eCommerce and Social Development.
